Hydroponic seed starter kits for additional plant germination.
My hydroponic AeroGarden is great for germinating seeds for my vegetable garden. I have never experienced seed failure, but one mistake I made helped me realize I needed more space.I added tomato seeds to 50% of my net pots and pepper seeds to the other 50%. The tomato seeds germinated quickly and soon after, the light needed to be raised. Pepper seeds began to emerge a week later and they needed that light lowered. I had to find a solution.I found these grow kits for outdoor use, and purchased two at an extremely reasonable price. After I received them, I read the reviews and was able to come up with solutions for the following concerns:Net pot too short and foam insert too dense for roots to grow easily and reach the nutrient solution. This was remedied by getting a supply replacement kit for my AeroGarden and using the replacement net pots and foam inserts. Amazon sells it, just take a look.It fits, it works well and allows enough depth to reach the nutrient solution. Replacing the short net pot and foam insert solves that problem. As to the noise made by the air pump, placing it on a soft surface makes a big difference and absorbs vibrations.I’m satisfied with the two seed starter kits I purchased. Practical solutions for small problems.

Need Different Sponge for seedlings rooting, but work with grown roots plant
The white sponge come with container had a high density, it slow done my seed to generate root, some of my seed germinated first but then die because root not developed as quick, so they dried out indoor in winter. Both basket and sponge are too short, not much help when u want seedlings developed long strong root faster going downward into water. To save my seedling from all dying out, and I am talking about basil, I first keep humidity dome on but it only prevented seedling dry out, not help on growing. Then I cut my two only left alive basil seedlings out of white sponge, insert then into other hydroponics long sponge and net, they quickly recovered and developed lots of new roots. However, if you have some hydroponics plant that already grows out decent amount of root, but about to grow out of height in a normal hydroponic kit. Move them into this container is a great choice. Like my pepper plant that I pruned too late, I transferred them into this container and hang grow light above at proper height, now the 2 feet pepper are flowering. One more minor issue if you are sensitive to noise as I do, pump works fine for my pepper but too loud. It is kind of noise that one with sensitive hearing can’t ignore and feel pre-migraine, I switched to a cheap submerged pump, that work too and much more quiet. The depth of this device not required full time pumping, I use 30min on/off and pepper grow well, bottom of my pepper already woody like. All works now, 4 star for the effort I committed to figure out everything, verse other hydroponic kit this is a lot more harder to begin with. But considering it is 1/3 price of other indoor hydroponic kit, I say it worth a try. All it take is some lower density sponge that is long enough to be half sit in water, then it work as fine as my other hydroponics system.I will recommend it, if u r not fresh new with hydroponics.

Foam not great.
I tried two ways to use the white foam seed holders. I sprouted the seeds and inserted, and I put in unsprouted seeds. The unsprouted seeds did nothing. The sprouted ones were not able to unfold and grow up, basically they stayed stuck and just grew roots. I tried growing beans, corn, spinich, and radish for an experiment we were doing in science class. The rest of the system worked great.

Works great, cheap pricing, decent quality
For the price, its great. The air pump vibrates and a bit noisy so make sure to secure it properly. It includes pretty much everything. I swapped the plastic netpot inserts for clay pebbles. Work great. Uncommon size for the net pots but works fine. I'm satisfied with purchase

This is a great unit
I enjoy this unit, bought 2! Gives me a way to use my seed starting grow lights during the winter, with out having the pests that come with dirt growing. Also plan to start my summer garden seeds in these.

Just make your own
Total waste. Seedlings are super leggy and have no support. The pumps are incredibly loud
