Good quality plastic. Works the same as the name brand wire loom and protects the wires from chewing cats.

I bought this for my husband's oxygen hose. Our cat had chewed through three hoses, and needed something to protect the hose. It was difficult to put on, but I found a way to get it on the hose a little easier. I used a pen to separate it so I could put it on section by section. Definately worth it! My cat no longer attempts to chew on it I!

The 1/4 in tubing is soft and lightweight . It accomplishes the job but because it is so thin it can be creased and fold in on itself when inserting wires. I found my self using a pick tool to repair it at first. It takes a little patience to insert wires for long lengths without using some sort of tool as a guide. I would not say that this is sturdy. I was using it for interior work on a truck and it’s perfect for that. For short lengths it’s easy to work with and good. I will use a different brand or gauge up for the work underneath my car and in the engine compartment.I found the 3/8 from this same seller thicker.

I've been battling with rabbits for weeks, as they randomly chew through the wires of our sidewalk lights. This item turned out to be exactly what was needed, to shield the small wires from their nibbling. It was fairly simple to push the wires through the slot of this tubing. I measured the length of tubing to match the distance between the lights, cut it to fit with scissors, and pressed the wires in. For extra wire, I cut the tube to ½ the length and pushed the wire in one end.This was a very good value, as it save me reordering the lights and/or soldering the wires back together.
