OntelClean Step Mat

Keeps the lobby at our office clean as we have a lot of dogs and people who come in/out with dirty feet!

Not as advertised!! The mat I received was similar to the one advertised on TV and in this listing, but it was in a box with no brand name; it was a generic SIMILAR door mat! Very upset! I became aware of the difference when I looked for the initial washing instructions which many reviewers of the OFFICIAL Clean Step Mat wrote about. There were no such instructions, so I examined the box more closely and discovered it was NOT the "As Seen on TV" Clean Step Mat. Amazon should REMOVE this listing and investigate the Seller!!!!!

I own 4 of these mats and am very happy with them. I just purchased 2 more from AHEAD SALES. After receiving them I followed the washing instruction to a tee, cold water, no detergent, no softener, and on gentle cycle. This process activates the fiber. After washing one mat almost completely lost it's backing in my wife's brand new machine (not happy) so I contacted the seller AHEAD SALES about the problem. I should have told my dog about the problem and he probably would understand it better. The reply I received was never to wash in a washing machine. The following were the messages back and forth:Item: Clean Step MatQty: 1Return reason: Defective/Does not work properlyBuyer comments: I received thes 2 mats. After the cold prewash one rug lost most of the backing in the machine, the other was fine. It was never required, nor we know how roughly you washed. This is a 1st kind of complain, we are a seller and not a guarantee keeper for the mats which should not be washed in a washer!!--- Original message ---You have to be kidding me. You tell me that you are not a guarantee keeper of the mats, well I don't want to be a keeper of the mat either!! You want me to pack this piece of crap up, go to the post office, pay at least $ 7.50 in postage to send it back to you, and them you will reimburse me the $ 13.50 that I paid for this garbage? So I actually get back$ 6.00. My other option is to keep this stuff as you call it and get back $ 1.35? I'll tell you what, keep your money as you will need it and when you get a chance read my feedback about you the seller, and then see how much business you will get.I have been a customer with Amazon for years and have spent thousands of dollars, but never have a dealt with a supplier like you. I do like the mats but BEWARE OF THIS SELLER. I have been doing busines on Amazon for years but have never had any problems with any other sellers on replacements or credits. These guys are selling items they no nothing about and if there is a problem, it's your problem. I really regret I am not close enough to return this item myself as it would bring me great pleasure to do so. Believe me when I say, it's not the money, but it's the idea of being ripped off and someone insulting your intelligence by telling you not to do something that is instructed to do when you purchase an item.All I can say is if you purchase thes mats, which I like, don't purchase from AHEAD SALES, because if you have a problem you have have a problem!

This mat is nice and very soft and I'm sure it's absorbent even though I haven't tested its water holding skills. But this is nothing more than a glorified bath mat.Its soft like my bath mat, has the nonslip bottom, and its machine washable like my bath mat. I don't question its ability to help clean muddy boots before they touch your clean floor but make sure you get one large enough to do that job. If you really want to protect your floors get a large rug!

I purchased two of these because i thought nothing would make its way past it. Even back to back the dirt still tracks in from these. I have two dogs and this product did not solve my problem.
