Bought and installed already, working perfectly. Needed to buy a specialty cable cutter, nothing I had was strong enough. Mind you there are two sized cables and housing, the thicker of the two is for your brakes. They give you enough to do two bikes with the double package and 5 times as many bits as I needed (cable ends, bumpers, rail connectors) so great value for the money. The blue is a bright radiate blue, looking great on my silver bike. Easy to install if you take it one cable at a time, remove the old cable but leave the housing alone and replace from one end to the other cutting housing to match your old and replace the bits in the order you take them off in. Never done it before and I was able to figure it out easily by taking my time with the first couple (you may have to YT how to get the cable out of the levers and shifters if you don't know how, they're made to be serviceable so you *can* do it yourself), after that they go in in just minutes with the proper cutters.

If you ride an older bicycle with derailleurs and rim brakes, chances are that you will need to replace the cables that control shifting and braking. As these cables become stretched and housings start to bind, braking performance degrades and shifting can be erratic. This kit provides plenty of cables and housing to completely replace on one bicycle and likely have some leftover. I converted a flat handled hybrid Cannondale to drop bars and STI shifters, replacing all the cables. I had enough left over to replace the front brake cable on a Trek T900 tandem that wasn’t stopping very well. Good value for the money.

All parts for complete cable job on any 29" mtn bike...only thing is the brake cable housing is darker red than gear cable housing...no biggie.Fast shipping too.

This is a full set of everything needed to fully re-cable a bike.The outers are nylon lined and the inners are very densely wound, which gives a smooth action.You do need to cut the outers (hacksaw) and inners (side cutters) to length.There is a selection of plastic and metal end caps, to suit the cable adjusters on your bike and wire end nipples.
