HEAVY! Pleasantly surprised at the quality of this item for the price, especially considering its size. It's sturdy, functional and looks good. Be forewarned the package weighs 300 pounds. Recommend hiring a handyman or having sturdy family members help w/ installation. Boo to the delivery people who put it on the wrong doorstep--cost me extra to have the handyman drag it over. But would definitely recommend the gate. Another thing to note: The lock is in the direction of the swing, so if you are installing on a slope you will be limited to installing the lock on whatever side of your driveway is lower.

As expected and works great across a sliding glass door. Relatively easy to install and use.

Sturdy and works well inside the home, even if it was intended for exterior use. I have to separate my dogs and this gate works well. It's screwed into the wall on hinges and can swing back and forth or scrunch up to allow you to pass. I painted it gold to be more aesthetic and the color has held up well.

For the most part this gate is great. It’s sturdy and retracts. My only complaint is it will not keep a rodent off my deck and certainly won’t keep my toy poodle or even golden doodle for that matter, in. I had to buy this mesh and use zip ties to make up for such a large gap at the bottom. This is definitely a design flaw in my eyes. More metal at the bottom and I would have given it 5 stars.

The best purchase I have made in years. Replaces the old ugly chain link and even though it’s much higher it is almost invisible. So easy to open and gives me full access to the side yard. So easy to install because you don’t have to adjust the posts opening to match the gate size. In the photo it is on the right side of my house. Also intruders can’t climb this gate easily or at all. This metal is strong.

great security gates, east to install !!

The gate itself is really sturdy and suits our needs, but the original box came with one end completely torn open. Consequently we didn’t receive any of the parts that came with this item. We contacted the merchandiser (per Amazon’s direction) and they sent us the additional pieces with some items still missing. We declined the package and had it sent back. A few days later we received a small package with ONE of the two wheels this whole thing is supposed to contain. The manufacturer was easy enough to communicate with and trying to rectify this with us, but the whole thing has been such a drawn out process. Considering the price, we’d think operations would run a little smoother. Anyway, good gate we’re just frustrated.

I have a son with Prader-Willi Syndrome, which means that he is unable to feel satiated when eating (perpetually feeling starved no matter how much he eats) so access to food can be deadly. To deter nighttime food seeking, we had always used tension gates, until he was big and strong enough to take them down. So I began looking for a metal security gate that we could use inside, and chose this for the accordion feature. It is perfect. We installed it in 40 minutes, taking our time. And just like that, huge relief knowing that our son would be safe at night. The cats can go underneath as they please. If we ever needed to move it, it would be easy to uninstall and reinstall. Super well made.
