Weatherproof Top Spiral Notebook, 3" x 5", Green Cover, Universal Pattern (No. 935)

Spending 4 dollars for a small pocket memo pad may seem extravagant, but it is worth it if your activities require exposure to adverse weather conditions. I used a $1 memo pad for a few months until it got soaked in a downpour at work and became useless. I then decided to purchase this notebook. The first thing I noticed was that it is much more sturdy than a normal memo pad. The cover is a thick quality plastic, not cheap recycled cardboard. It holds up to friction and flexing in a back pocket very well. The pages appear to be made of recycled money, being green and waterproof. They get a little floppy when immersed under water for a few hours, but are still useful for writing. After drying off, they go back to their like-new consistency. This notebook is paired with a Zebra F-701 pen for my EDC, and the pen easily writes on the paper under water (submerging the entire pen may be unwise). There are also helpful measurements and equivalencies on the cover that will assist in calculations. Overall, this is a very good notebook for those of us who sometimes need to work/play in the rain.

I work in the trades and have to take a lot of notes for work. All my other notepads get the edges all bent up and it makes the book a mess by the time I'm done with it. This one doesn't, the pages are sturdier and it really is waterproof. My only issue is that sometimes if it gets dirty it can be hard to write on, but I can still use a ballpoint pen if necessary. Highly recommend if you work in the trades and have an issue with your notepad getting messy.

I carry this in abreast pocket every day I work in a reflective vest. If it's raining, it gets rained on, as I'm outside all day. Through the day the page edges will take on some water (wicking?) But water that gets on the face of the page just beads off. If I needed to flip around in the book more I think this would be more of a problem, as the part by the rings wouldn't hold up at all when wet, but I'm usually only on one page per day, so it has been a non issue. It dries out fine overnight. Just don't expect this to work if you are constantly or exceptionally wet, and probably won't hold up if you are flipping pages whole it is wet.

Ordered from JL Darling, LLC came super fast 2 days. It was great price for the single rite in the rain notepad which is what I was looking for. Great notepad with all the little map measuring scales within the inside cover. Sturdy notebook too as my paper ones that I have used in the past even though they never got wet always fell apart after being stored in my backpack. This notepad has that kind of cover that will hold up to use and the paper pages inside are a bit stronger and tougher then normal paper. I am going to be ordering a larger size and the 3 pack now. I highly suggest these notebooks for just anything even if you are not using them in wet conditions.

Sometimes it rains. Sometimes you need to take notes. And some times, you need to take notes in the rain. Rite in the Rain Notebook lives up to its. name. There are times I'm outside, and I need to jot down information that needs to be legible. I don't want to take out my phone. I did an online search and found the RITR notebook. I was skeptical. When I received it, I let the kid in me rule. I dripped some water on it, and sure enough it beads up. In about a month, I had a real world situation, not by fire but water. It wasn't a deluge. But it wasn't a drizzle either. The paper held up and didn't wrinkle. I was able to read all of the data no problem. Thie size is also perfect for any pocket, not bulky. The spiral bound op top, not the side, makes flipping easy, good planning. They recommend an all weather pen. I didn't use one. It worked well. But it wasn't a downpour, like I mentioned. All in all, Rite in the Rain delivered as promised. And it works as a dry notebook too, of course.

This little notepad is excellent. It is very waterproof even in heavy rain and works like a charm. The green cover was an excellent aesthetic touch and the notepad was very handy and durable in harsh conditions. Highly recommended this notepad to all campers out there.

More durable than any notepad I've had, and I put mine through a lot. Resists rain as advertised. If you're looking for heavy duty notepads, I would recommend this one.

I discovered Rite in the Rain products years ago when I needed to write down the location of equipment at work outside rain or shine. They were a life saver and sure beat trying to write the info down inside a clear plastic bag. Today, I have a new job and I need to keep a notebook in my pocket containing cheat sheets I created to help me when the need arises. Being a humid and sometimes wet environment the conventional notebook began falling apartand my notes began to fade out. Then I remembered Rite in the Rain and once again my notes are safe. I highly recomend this product, it works just as advertised.
