Seem to work
Bought these to try my hand at seed sowing and used them alongside seed trays of John Innes seed compost as a comparison. These seem to work pretty well and had good results of Sunflower, Cornflower and Nasturtium germinating more quickly and consistently compared to compost. Iβm unsure if this is because the compost seemed to dry out quicker compared with these so needed a closer eye.One point of note is that the seeds germinate quicker but also outgrow these pucks quicker too - before you realise it the roots are out the bottom so itβs worth checking regularly if you need to plant up. No need to try teasing out the seedling for planting though, just pop the entire puck in the final planting position and it will degrade (also help retain some moisture for ongoing growth perhaps)

No nutrients added?
Killed my seedlings within days of germination. Seedlings now yellowing and dying off. Whereas the same seeds (poppy) ran concurrently in standard peat compost seed pucks are healthy and growing well.Nicely wrapped, but that's all that can be said for this product, sorry....
