Outstanding
I got this graphic novel to read with my home educated seven year old son. We take it in turns to read and his reading is improving dramatically since starting. We read together morning and night because he is so excited to find out what is going to happen next in the story. His review of the books is ‘robots & fighting - what more could you want’.I have also really enjoyed reading this set of books with him. The story line carefully explores so many cool topics such as feelings, gender identity, bullying, ethical dilemmas and relationships. The characters are diverse and it’s set in London in places we have visited. We’ve had so many great conversations as a result of reading these books together. The art work and characters are so engaging and having two sons, they love to pretend they are Freddie and Alex.Absolutely buy these books and enjoy. ***** stars

Amazing for getting reluctant readers to read
I purchased this one and the other two for my 8 year old. He got through this so quickly and started the next one enthusiastically. He’s taking his time as the new one doesn’t arrive until the end of March 2022His love for reading has come after lots of encouragement. Making time for him to read to me daily and staying consistent as much as we could even when he was moaning about it 😅 grateful for books like these creates a healthy appetite for reading so when he has to read the “boring” stuff it’s easier

Calling this a new publication is misleading
I bought this book believing that it was a new story as the title and front cover are different to the books published in 2017. The 2017 version (on the left in the photo) and 2021 version (on the right in the photo) are the same book with a new title and cover on the 2021 version. The 2021 book says on the inside of the front cover ‘first published in 2021’, but it really is the same story published in 2017, so please don’t be fooled like I was in thinking that this is a new story. To be fair, my boys love the story hence I bought them what I thought was the next in the series, but now I have multiple copies.

Pages not separated
The pages of this book are not separated.I am deeply disappointed with this product as it was a birthday present for a young child.
