Quick Buck Saw (21")

Without a doubt the best pack saw I have ever owned and I have owned more than a few.Extremely well made with a solid aluminum body. Strong hinge pins, they will last a good long while. Very easy to put together and break back down. It only took me about 2 minutes the first time I did it and most of the time was spent on making sure I didn't mess up the blade. The blade itself is very sharp and well made. It took about 5 minutes for me to completely chew through a solid & dried 6-7 inch log with no difficulty. Comfortable in the hand and once put together is just plain impressive to look at and hold. You will know that your holding a high quality tool.If one were to put this saw together with say, a Gransfors Bruks Small Forest or Hunters axe and a Bark River Aurora, then one would have a system that couldn't be beat and would take care of you in harshest of environments.Some may think this saw is expensive and they would be right. HOWEVER, good quality tools that are meant to last are expensive and worth every single cent! :-)

Widely available replacement blades and lightweight packability make this a winner. 14.15 oz weight. Construction is no frills but offers functional performance. I can see the wood handle falling apart if neglected.Some anodizing would be nice along with a cordura case. Design is clever and simple. If it breaks I feel like I could fix in myself with a trip to the hardware store.Price is kind of high for what you get.Throw in a large knife for batoning and some wd40 and you are ready to prep some wood

Best addition to my Boundary Waters gear! Everyone that uses it loves it as well. A bit on the expensive side but well worth it.

This saw is incredible!!!! I bought this for backpacking and skipped over the more often seen folding saw such as the Laplander. I choose this because I can by replacement blades at any hardware store. This saw is a workhorse and handles all the cutting jobs I need in the woods! If your on the fence with this pull the trigger and buy it! Its worth it!

this saw is easy to put together and processes wood fast, and the design allows to cut bigger pieces of wood than other saws, an optional sheath would be nice but the saw work great.
