Not really a speed loader
I didnt really get this for speed i got it because the smith and wesson sheild mp magazines are one of the hardest to load. The last to rounds really take a act of thumb strength to do so i would call it a assist loader. With this I can put the last to round in with some effort. You use the loader to help push down the spring then load oneround at a time then you still have to slide it all the way in. So it just get it in the magazine half way then you do the rest. After that then you push it down with the loader and repeat so it not loading it fast. In fact I load maybe the first 5 by hand because it faster then i use the loader.

Product itself works great, but the seller is misleading
I ordered two of these loaders for my Sig P365 XL and P226 magazines, while they both worked fine, I've realized they're basically the same loader. I suspect these would work fine for most 9mm magazines without the need to buy a specific one for the specific model. The "collar" that you grab the loader by is slightly different between the two models, but the mechanism that grabs the bullet and pushes it down is the same. I tried the P365 model on my P226 magazine and it worked exactly the same, it also worked on my dad's Beretta M9 magazine.Overall for the money, the loader works great and does exactly what is needed, once you get good with it you can load a 12 round magazine in under 30 seconds - but I'm knocking off one star for misleading advertising. If you have pistols of the same caliber and at least the same brand, you can just get one loader and it will work for all of them.

Works well unless you are uncoordinated
I have a Taurus G2C and bought two speed loaders. The speed mag loader works very well. You first push it down, then you put the bullet partially in. While holding the bullet down you let the speed mag come up up a little and then slide the bullet all the way into position in the mag. Repeat till the mag is full. It is very easy to figure out. It takes only a basic amount of coordination to figure out and get used to. It is much easier on the fingers then loading the mag without it. The very uncoordinated (or very impatient) might not figure out this basic loader, but they are likely not coordinated enough to handle a gun anyway.

Actually works!
Unlike some more expensive " universal " loaders, this one actually fits my fnx45 elite. The springs on those fresh hi-cap mags are SO stiff, this is a must have. Great product, and thanks to the maker for their truthfulness.

Very effective
Previously left a 3 star review due to the wrong product being delivered, but they were extremely quick about getting me a replacement in the correct size at no cost, while still being able to keep the 1st one.Works very well and put over 150 rounds through it yesterday with no problem. Saves your fingers/thumbs immensely when going through box after box of ammo.

Works, but I literally have to convince myself how to do it every time
This seems to be a great addition to the toolbox for handguns, but I will say that the movement is not that intuitive unless you do it regularly. On the up motion, you seem to have to lift it off of where it's sitting in order to get next the bullet to slide back. Not a huge deal, but a little annoying. But for the price, I'm not complaining. However, what I will say is that I won't use it unless there's a table sitting beside me and realistically I don't use it unless my kid is with me and he's loading the guns.

Great little loader
Works well, just realize you need to pull it up to push the bullet in the rest of the way. I'm able to load quickly whereas without it loading was killing my thumb!!!

Not for S&W, SD9VE 9mm
Defiantly a good fit for the S&W, M&P 9mm. I bought it by mistake thinking it would fit the S&W SD9VE 9mm, being that a few items do work for both like the BlackHawk holster. I was wrong and contacted the seller, which in turn reimbursed me for the item. I did loose out on the shipping but hey, no problem. I'll have to keep looking.

sticks to the mag creating a pretty big fumbling situation
I think i had different expectations. This does the job your thumb does when loading a magazine, but somehow slower. It's uncomfortable to use (moreso than using your thumb), sticks to the mag creating a pretty big fumbling situation, and it seems like the 'thumb imitation tab' will wear out to the side after a relatively short amount of time.
