Engage: The Trainer's Guide to Learning Styles

I was transformed by Jeanine and 4MAT in 2005. I went from a death by powerpoint, information overloader type of "presenter" to a professional facilitator who creates meaningful learning which speaks to everyone in the room. What I love most about 4MAT is that it brings a common language to your audience. It also provides a logical approach to lesson planning, which makes the design process simple and impactful.Jeanine is the most engaging faciliator I have ever worked with, so you can expect her book "ENGAGE" to be nothing less than extraordinary. Not only is it visually appealing, it is exactly what creative trainers are looking for. The book reads as though Jeanine is sitting beside you, coaching you along the way which makes the journey so much fun.After several years of using 4MAT I am reconnected to my craft now that I have this book. I already have many dog eared pages, and lots of underlining in my copy. It travels with me wherever I go!If you want to create memorable learning experiences that engage everyone then this is the book for you. Highly recommended!

Jeanine is a great trainer! I've taken some of her free online material and wanted to learn more. Hope to attend one of her training programs in the near future. As a teacher, I've seen the power of many of the things that she has developed. This application to business and training programs will no doubt create better results.

I purchased this book because it had supported information and a workbook that was needed to completely study the information, I was led to believe that there was a passcode at the end of the book to enter the promised website. Not only was there no code but the website is gone. Very disappointing. In addition, this book is not compatible with Kindle, it's very hard to read some portions of it.It is also not eligible for return,

As a web design teacher there is very little for us IT teachers to help improve our teaching styles. The Engage book is fantastic for all level of trainers and has totally changed how we do things at Web Courses Bangkok. My teaching has dramatically improved in a matter of weeks. I really wan to to learn more and hope more books will come out. The best thing is there are actionable exercises and examples for everything covered.

The book tells you to take a free assessment but after adding the information you are stuck on a page that goes nowhere. And the book mention: “if you haven’t already completed the Training Style Inventory (TRSI), it is recommended that you do this before continuing further.”I tried to contact the editor but so far no reply. Frustrate to say the least...should I just forget about the book?I even try to purchase the assessment and didn’t went through.

This book is an absolute, "must have" for any trainer. 4mat offers a framework for engaging the learner and producing results. The book breaks down learning styles and how to more effectively connect with the learner in simple and easy to understand way. Each of our trainers uses it as their go-to resource for improving content, ensuring all learner's needs are met, and most importantly organizing content to shift behavior and produce a measurable result. Kudos to Jeanine O'Neill Blackwell for pulling it all together for us!

Unlike many books in our Learning and Development industry, the author has delivered the learning in an entertaining and practical style. You are able to apply the model to your training delivery right away. You will watch yourself transform.

Das Buch beweist, in der Art, wie es gestaltet ist, dass der vorgeschlagene Weg funktioniert (100% walk your talk).Praktische Anleitungen, theoretische Überbau und die Struktur sind ausgewogen und mit viel Spaß zu lesen.

Das Buchist hochinteressant - allerdings ist eine Voraussetzung für den größten Teil, dass man den kostenlosen Test durchführt und lernt, welcher Lern- und Lehrtyp man ist. Dieser funktioniert nicht und auf mehrfache Mail wurde mir leider auch nicht geholfen. Was tun?The book is highly interesting - but a prerequisite for most of it is that you take the free test and learn what type of learning and teaching you are. This does not work and on multiple mail I was unfortunately not helped. What to do?
