We’ve tried it for a week so far and it seems to be work well. I wanted to have a disposable bag instead of a container for my kid because space in a teen’s school bag is a premium. The seal holds but a warm sandwich does make the bag a little translucent but it doesn’t leak out. When it was a grilled sandwich day, I did wrap it in a kitchen towel before putting it in the bag - there was no complaint after so it must’ve worked. The contrary teen self approves of the shark design - I suppose when your day is long, having your sandwich peep out of rows of shark makes the day of the one eating and all around her.
