This stuff is great, and the packaging is a bonus.
My nose gets uncomfortably dry on the inside during the winter. Every morning I wake up with a dry inner-nasal area. I used to use petroleum jelly on it, which helped somewhat. Then, my dad, who has dealt with frequent nosebleeds, highly recommended Ponaris (his ENT specialist recommended it to him). I asked my pharmacist for it and she just looked confused and said "you mean, saline?". So, as with everything, I found it was available on Amazon. This stuff is great. It kept my nose feeling nice all night -- more so than petroleum jelly. And the last bullet point on the box says that it helps alleviate "nasal mucosal encrustations" -- totally true -- definitely less of those, which makes it nearly magical if you ask me. It smells nice, in my opinion -- menthol-ly, minty, piney -- much nicer than petroleum jelly. It can be a little messy to apply, but that's not a problem for me since I use it before bed & end up lying down shortly after applying. Also, as my dad pointed out, it's natural -- better than putting petroleum up your nose. The bonus is the packaging. First, the box has an astronaut on it! This advertises the fact that it is in the NASA medical kit for astronauts. If you look closely, you can see that the little astronaut is on a space walk and is carrying a medical kit with a little "Rx" label on it. You can be like an astronaut if you use it -- so cool. Astronauts are seriously awesome. Second, the box shouts "IT'S NOT A SECRET!". This is both mildly funny and mildly confusing, but you can rest easy knowing it's OK to tell your friends about it. Third, as I mentioned above, the last bullet point on the box refers to "nasal mucosal encrustations" -- now I know the medical term for boogers.I love everything about this product. No more uncomfortable nose, *and* the little astronaut makes me smile every time.

Lifesaver if you suffer from dry nostrils or nose bleeds - Great for frequent travelers!
This has been a life changer for me. This was recommended to me by an ENT after a series of sinus infections left me with an incessant cough. I loved how the drops cleared my congestion and soothed the inside of my nose, but I hated the dribbling oil down my lip, or worse - my throat. My nurse suggested using them at night, so I didn't suffer from the embarrassment of oil sliding out of my nose while I spoke to a human in the day light. So I used it until it was gone and then forgot about it.I've been working in a job that requires me to travel several times a month, for the last couple years. This has been hell for my sinuses. The recycled air of the airplanes, the dry hotel air, and quick climate changes meant that I would frequently get sick, my nose would always be dry and cracked and painful, and I would often suffer from nose bleeds.I had been using AYR nasal gel for a long time - I would place a drop of the gel on a cotton swab and rub it along the inside of my nose. And it soothed my nostrils, especially when they would get so dry they'd crack and bleed. But it only soothed, it didn't heal or prevent. So I was just constantly putting it in my nose. It was impractical and I suspected not helpful, but I couldn't go back to doing nothing and dealing with that pain. Then I remembered Ponaris, but I still dreaded the drip; until I read some reviews of users applying the oil with a q-tip - then everything changed.I dip a q-tip in Ponaris and swab the inside of one nostril and use the other end of the swab on the other nostril. I try to do this day and night, if I'm traveling or in a dry climate. If I feel sick, or especially dry, I apply Ponaris as often as I need it.This has solved a major problem that plagued me - I can breathe better, sleep better, I'm sick less often (if at all), and most importantly - I'm more comfortable. If you've ever suffered from chronic sinusitis, you know that it's no fun when breathing hurts!I wish I had been using this for the last decade. I can't imagine not having it in my daily routine now.

Don't use a lot
I have almost open wound like sores on the inside of my nose. Had a septoplasty and now have a perforation of my septum. My nose is always dry, to the point where the mucus hardens and once I clear the hardened blockage it's almost the feeling of ripping off a scab where it's an open wound that burns. Nothing has helped. My nose is almost always swollen and tender and it causes excruciating pain.I read the reviews for this product and saw it worked well for people with similar issues. I decided to give it a try.Just received it today. Definitely need to follow other's recommendations and only use a tiny bit. I was pleasantly surprised that it did not burn as the inside of my nose has cracks and open sores. This did not burn or irritate. Was very soothing and the scent of the pine oil and peppermint were very helpful. However, this led me to get bold and add some more. Big mistake. Adding more made it do the opposite and start drying my nasal cavities out more than before. I definitely think this will really help when used sparingly. Will update with further progress.

excellent for dry nostrils
During the winter our home gets dry from the heater & thus the sinuses do too. I've used this for a couple years & it works very well. I tried another somewhat similar product as it was a little less expensive but it wasn't as good..... you get what you pay for.
