Great option for well users
I was able to install this unit in about 4 hours with PEX. Definitely recommend getting a good cutter and crimper with elbows and adapters before you install if your a DIY person like me. If it’s mounted flush against the wall the filter supports will not reach the wall so a 2x4 will alleviate that.So far water has been so much better and we’re losing that salt taste from the old softener I had. I plan on continuing to use these products! No leaks and good quality

Top quality water filter.
So far, have no problem with the quality. It doesn’t leak or make any noise like those units that flush out water all the time. Filters are very easy to change, Water from the well has never tasted better. Had it installed by plumbers which was pricey, but they did a great job and worth every penny.,

Read BEFORE you buy anything from Aquasana.
The media could not be loaded. So many reasons not to buy this system or anything from Aquasana.1. Tried to cancel the order 30 seconds after I purchased it because I forgot to go to my amazon smile page to get a portion donated to charity. The order could not be cancelled. Nor can you return it through amazon. That was the first sign this was going to suck.2. The warranty is void if you install this yourself.3. When flushing the standing filter and conditioner before use I followed the instructions hooked them up to my hose and flushed each for 30 mins solid, then turned the water on for 30secs and off 30secs for 30 mins just to be sure it was clear(lots of ppl complained about the black fine specks appearing in their appliances). When I hooked the system up I had to flush them in my house for another 4 hours and still they kept showing up in my bucket. As of today - 3 weeks after the install they are still showing up in my post sediment filter and I’ve emptied it 5 times now.3. All the connections and threading is plastic. I hooked the system up using plumb thread tape and the pre and post filters leaked. I replaced the brass connections and used 3 wraps with pipe tape, leaks. Replaced the brass and 4, 5, and 6 wraps of tape, leaks. Eventually I bought two 50$ culligan sediment filters (because it was day 3 with no water) to replace the pre and post filters and no leaks. Plastic threads screwed into plastic connections which then screw into more plastic threads.... for 2000$ you’d think it would be made of something more durable or even something that works.4. If you have to drain the system the standing filters hold ALOT of water, I had to change the system so many times because of leaks, tweaks etc I put shutoff valves at each end of them so I could cut the pipes without dealing with massive amounts of water over and over. This systems comes with 3 shut offs, no brass connections or anything else you need to set it up. The gray plastic connectors that fit between the standing filters leak so just throw them out and get more ‘ 3/4” brass to pex ‘ nipple fittings.5. Customer service is a bad joke and Aquasana has a lawsuit against them for selling defective junk.5. Between the pex crimp tool, brass cutter, pex pipe cutter, pex side crimp tool, all the brass connections, pex rings, replacement sediment filters and replacement METAL 90 degree pex sleeves(both the 90 degree plastic bends broke) i spent another $600.The system is installed and working though the water tastes weird. So I have a filtration system I don’t trust at a huge unexpected cost and because I wasn’t willing to pay a licensed professional to install it... I have no warranty.Lastly, somehow my purchased was marked as a gift and so I won’t even show that I am a verified purchase. My pictures are sideways, sorry. I wanted to show a few configurations I tried as I replaced parts and changed the setup. I only have 6’x6’ wall and I needed room for my cats litter box too. I’m adding two more sediment filters one pre and one post because I don’t trust my well or the standing filter. The video shows a test setup that I tried to see if I needed to add more post sediment filters because of the fines and of course I do. Which I will do next paycheck. This review is all over the place, it’s 5am and I had to finish before I curse their name and go to sleep.Final verdict:Aquasana should burn in hell and probably will if they put their own system in their factory.

A Great Value. Some things could improve.
First the positive. We have a new custom-built, rural home with a well. The water is potable and good quality. I bought this initially for the softening and for the ultraviolet bacteria treatment. Shortly after moving in and before buying this system, we discovered that our well water was rich in iron. This was evidenced by the brown, easy-to-clean stains in our toilet bowls.About a week after install, my wife noticed the water from the tap tasted better. We also noticed the water was "cleaner" and the staining in our toilet bowls was not returning. Given what it would have cost to buy a similar system from one of these local water treatment companies, this product is a HUGE value. One company estimated $12,000 and another $7,000. Even though I paid a professional plumber $300 (including parts) to install it was still a bargain at $2,100. (Bought it during Amazon days.)That brings me to the "some things could improve" part of this. After emptying the boxes and laying out all of the parts, I collected the cardboard to toss it. One box was quite heavy. I thought, "That's weird." I looked inside. It was empty. So, why was it so heavy? I turned it over. There was a large bag of hardware taped to the bottom. It will forever remain a mystery why it wasn't inside the box instead, and to add to the mystery, after the system was installed, I realized we never opened the bag? What were these for?All of the fitting included with this system assume you will run 1/2" PEX-B. PEX-B is the type that uses metal crimped clamps. It is also the type that necessarily chokes the flow to less than the inside diameter of the PEX. Despite including all of these fittings, there was no tubing. So, assuming I received everything they intend to include, you will need a trip to the hardware store.Fortunately, even though all the fitting are for 1/2" tubing the inlets and outlets on each filter and the ultraviolet canister support 1" plumbing. This was a plus for us, because we had a 1.25" feed from our pressure tank to this system. Our inside water pressure was not impacted by this system. Our plumber used PEX-A tubing and fittings. An advantage of PEX-A is no leaking, no diameter reduction at the fittings, and we used PEX-A throughout the build. The disadvantage is the requirement for special tools, thus the hired plumber. One last note on the parts: the short blue filter canisters come with a wall mount bracket. When that bracket is screwed onto the top of the filter canister, the surface that is supposed to mount to the wall is 3.5" from wall. Go figure. I had to install a 2x4 on edge on the wall and then screw the mounts to the 2x4. I mentioned this to customer support. They said they knew about this. They suggested adding the 2x4. I suggested they extend they extend the bracket, or, at the very least, add a note to the instructions.Lesson Learned: read the instructions completely BEFORE install. I did not. I was suppose to flush water through the big blue tanks before installation. The consequence was days of gray, aerated water and a lot of faucets burping air as all the air between the particulates in the tanks worked itself out. Not a serious issue, but it could have been avoided. Conclusion: Based on the short time we've had this up and running, I highly recommend the product. Research the alternatives. Research what their customer's say. I think you too will find this is a great value in the world of water treatment.
