2 Gamma Seal Lids for 2-Gallon Buckets with 10 inch diameter (do NOT fit 5 gallon buckets)

Note: these lids are for Gamma brand containers with an approximate opening of 9 3/4-10"!I purchased these lids for the 40lb vittle vaults, because two of the collars (the part the lid screws into) cracked/busted.I removed the old collar and could only get new collar on 3/4 of the way on, upon inspecting the container I see a bulge on the container, which explains why the new collar does not fit and why the old one cracked and busted. Pulled out my handy dandy drimel and filed down the bulge on the container and now the lids are a perfect fit.I hope this will help someone in their frustration! It is not the lids, it is a slight defect in the lip of a batch of containers that quality control or lack thereof did not catch.

Tried multiple manufacturers of 2 gallon bucket and didn't fit any. The lids are larger than the buckets and will crack and break the inner lip no matter how careful you are. I did manage to force one on a bucket but the screw lid will no longer start now.

Works on menards 2 gallon buckets and is way easier to install if you remove the lid from the ring during installation

Like others, the lids do not fit a standard 2 gallon, food-safe bucket. I measured the bucket after I tried to install it and it is 10 inches. If these lids only fit a specific bucket, why is this supplier not suggesting a comparable bucket? And I broke the outer ring trying to get it to fit. Waste of money.

With a LOT of persistence, I was finally able to attach the outer ring to the bucket (sold separately). It's a frustrating experience, but once in place, it works like a charm. I love these gamma lids for composting.

The lids are great to easily access items in the bucket. I use the lids and buckets for storing smoker pellets and camping items.

Hard to find gamma lids for 2 gallon buckets. Keeps grains sealed for freshness, only issue is the price, local feed store has these for less but they are frequently out of stock

This is a good product but contrary to the claim on the Gamma2 label “fits virtually any 2 gallon bucket”, the exact opposite is true. It appears to only fit API/Kirk brand (better quality) buckets. Worse yet, none of the national chain stores sell that brand. All the big-box hardware, paint and department stores sell cheap buckets. Buy the Gamma lid and bucket set from Amazon. Trust me, it will be less frustrating and you will get a better quality bucket.
