Exceptional Performance and Management for RV Networking!
The TP-Link TL-SG3428 JetStream 24-Port Gigabit L2+ Managed Switch with 4 SFP Slots is a powerhouse for my RV home office and entertainment setup! This switch offers 24 Gigabit RJ45 ports and 4 Gigabit SFP slots, delivering lightning-fast, reliable connections for my devices—laptops, smart TVs, and IoT gadgets—while boondocking or at campgrounds. Integrated with TP-Link’s Omada SDN platform, it supports centralized cloud management via the Omada app, allowing me to monitor and configure my network remotely with ease. Features like Zero-Touch Provisioning, L2/L3/L4 QoS, and IGMP Snooping ensure smooth streaming and VoIP calls, even with multiple devices connected.Setup was straightforward, with the included rackmount kit and web-based GUI making configuration a breeze, even for complex tasks like VLAN setup or static routing. The robust security features—IP-MAC-Port Binding, ACL, and DHCP Snooping—keep my network secure from threats, crucial for public campground Wi-Fi. The fanless design is a huge plus, keeping my RV quiet. My only minor note is that the web interface can be overwhelming due to its extensive options, but the Omada app simplifies most tasks. Priced around $150–$200, this switch outperforms pricier competitors like Cisco’s small business switches, offering enterprise-grade features at a fraction of the cost. For RVers or small business owners needing a scalable, high-performance network solution, the TL-SG3428 is a fantastic choice! Highly recommend!

Great switch for your home/small office network
This is a great value if you are looking to enhance your home network. I picked this item for the 4 x sfp+ 10gig ports that I need to make everything in my home network run smoothly. If you have a couple switches in your home or small office, get the sfp+ ports so you can connect your networking gear with fiber (if possible). I combined this with a PoE switch by the same manufacturer to help cut down on bottlenecks in my home network traffic.

USB Console issues
Switch seems fine. Good standard management features.I got a v 1.0 hardwareIt appears to be that some Jetstream devices have USB console drivers that are not included in Linux, and the windows driver is not signed, and not auto-installed. This made me look at my other devices and I found two out of seven devices had this issue, including one of two with the same model number.Probably due to the older hardware version. Waiting to hear back from TP-Link support. Not a huge deal as you can use the included serial console port/cable if you have a supported Com port.EDIT: TP-Link support looked into this issue, seemed to spend a lot of time with it, but is acting like it is a non-issue. To be fair, you can still use the serial console cable and a separate usb serial device.

To adopt the switch and configure properly, make sure you update the controller's firmware first!
First thing you need to make sure if using the omada controller is that it's firmware is up to date. Once the controller is up to date, it is very easy to navigate the omada app to adopt and configure. If you understand networking you wont even need the manual. It's all pretty straight forward and easy. 5 stars!

Really easy to add to an existing Omada system
This switch was incredibly simple to setup. It worked immediately on startup and after adopting into my existing Omada network and setting its IP address and port labels all was working perfectly.

Smart switch with a great feature set, Omada SDN management capability and excellent support!
I am upgrading my home network. First I added an Omada Wifi Access Point setup to support four VLANS. Easy peasy. Next, I added this switch, but the initial configuration is a little more difficult since the switch has to support a much larger feature set. The GUI is relatively easy to use, but I couldn't get my VLANs working. After a few days of frustration, I decided to try out TP-Link's online chat support. My agent was XANDREX. In just a few minutes, they helped me determine that what step in the process I missed and boom! Everything works great! So far, I am really happy that I chose Omada over Unifi - easier implementation and great online support. Oh, and when I am ready, I can run the Omada Controller that will allow me to manage all my devices from a single plane of glass. Nice!

Great 16 port managed switch that works with Omada SDN
Got this switch to work with TP-Link's OC200, ER7206 and APs through TP's Omada cloud based network management. I had to contact tech support to properly adopt the switch because my configuration is tricky with a lot of VLANs and net segmentation. It needs DHCP on the VLAN to properly adopt; afterwards, you can assign a static address and disable DHCP. After an hour of tech support and a firmware update out of the box, it has been dead reliable and easy to manage. It has every feature you'd want in a switch and when connected to Omada, insanely easy to manage.
