Better Than The OEM Cable
I purchased this for the same reason many others probably have, the jack where my DSL modem plugs in was not a convenient place to leave my modem. My only regret is not buying a longer one than 15 foot. It was JUST barely long enough and it would have been nice to have some wiggle room.I was concerned that longer might degrade my line quality. Fact is, I tested my modem with the OEM cable several times and then plugged in the new line before I even moved the modem and discovered to my happy surprise that it was actually faster with this 15 foot cable than the 3 foot OEM green cable that came with my modem. Even the connections seemed more solid. So I think I could have gotten an even longer cable and still had a fine connection. Very impressed!

Stupid trick to fix intermittent AT&T U-Verse/internet.
AT&T has sent me three or four 5268AC units due to U-Verse intermittent service. They would also send a tech to the house to "check" my wires. Each time the new tech would fix something the other guy missed, did poorly, whatever.Long story, short, there was nothing left to fix and the internet was still dropping out.Researching the solution brought me here to this high speed modem cable. But after a couple of months, the new modem cable started dropping the internet too.So what's the stupid trick? After doing the standard computer and modem reboots, and that not fixing the problem, I switch out the new cable with the old, green, cable that came with the modem.Yes, I know it's stupid. It shouldn't work. But it does, every single time. Then a couple of months later, when it starts dropping out. I switch the cables again.

Great way to improve signal quality for DSL
Century Link DSL customer.... I replaced the basic green phone line cable they provide with the initial installation with this shielded cable. I work in the industrial electrical field and shielded cabling is not always necessary however not a bad idea if you have a spaghetti mess of wiring near your DSL modem. Add EMI and RFI power filtering to your DSL modems power along with shielded CAT5/6 cables for any connections routed out of the modem and you will be set to have the best conditions possible to help improve the DSL signal inside your home. DSL unfortunately can be a bit unstable so I recommend taking all steps to help making your signal quality the best it can be.

Pricey RJ11 Modem Cable Fails To State Specs On Insulating Jacket
I opted to purchase this15ft C2G model 28722 modem (RJ11) for the following reasons:1) It uses 24AWG gauge wire, which is consistent with the wire gauge used in the CAT5E/CAT6 Ethernet (RJ45) that connects the modem to my PC;2) It's extremely well insulated, which serves to prevent signal interference -- an important issue when you're dealing with cable that's 15ft in length;3) Despite being highly insulated, it's highly flexible and easy to work with/install;I had a choice a between this cable and Belkin's 15ft cable, which is almost identical (i.e. it's highly insulated, uses 24AWG wire). But a number of reviews stated that this cable was extremely stiff and therefore difficult to work with.As others have stated, this cable won't increase your connection speeds. But it will ensure that your modem is able to maintain a solid interference free connection over a 15ft distance. Due to its highly flexible construction, it's as easy to work with/install as a standard flat RJ11 phone cable. My only complaint is that is doesn't state that it's made with 24AWG wire on its outer insulating jacket. Ethernet cables, HDMI cable, and other high quality connectors routinely have this information printed on their insulating jackets. When you spend this sort of money on a cable (of all things), I like to be assured that I'm getting what I paid for. I've deducted a star due to this failure.(Follow-up Note: The manufacturer, C2G (aka Cables2Go), sent me an email confirming that this cable is made with high quality/high speed 24AWG wire.)

Nicer speed!
This DSL Modem cable certainly speeds up my computer compared to the cable from my phone carrier. I didn't realize that my slow internet speed was actually fast! I am so happy that I upgraded to this well made and fast cable was found!

Life savor
My cord for my at&t internet broke and and I couldn't find a replaceable one anywhere as well as at&t said they do not supply replacement ones to there customers anymore. After going everywhere some one told me to look online, that would be my best bet on find the exact replacement cord and I did. This cord work perfect for my internet. I gavebt had any problems with connection or anything.

Excellent DSL to Modem Cable -- RECOMMENDED
My original cable was damaged and I tried several replacements with pitiful results, some not working at all. I was so frustrated I just ordered a 'few' different DSL-to-Modem cables and this is the *only* one that provided the (advertised) throughput speed necessary for a good DSL experience.*Build Quality is also *excellent* .. particularly relative to other cables I have on hand and/or have seen.(Yes, I know DSL isn't top shelf service (far from it), but when ya live in the boonz, ya take what you can get ... and I can't deal with satellite latency).#HighlyRecommended
