These are, so far, the best flag rings ever!! I had previously purchased flag rings that were adequate but had no bearings. My flag invariably would end up wrapped around itself. I took a chance on these and can't be happier and surprised at how well they work!!! They spin with ease and the flag remains floating free as it should. The quality and ease of installation make them great. I am very happy and would definitely recommend these!!

This item works... Got tired of tangles, wrap around. All went away once I put these on 3x5 flag that blows in Ohio. Now alls It does is spin around with 0 tangles wraps. Great Price. UPDATE. It works fine. Operator error. Spinning great again after tighting set screws that came loose. 👍👍

Good quality product, fit my standard pole well. I tried several other swivels that didn't work very well. This set has Ball bearings that swivel easily to prevent the flag from wrapping around the pole. Last pair stood up to the weather for almost 4 years then the bearings rusted. I should have lightly oiled them each time I change flags, about every 6 months or so. This replacement set ensures no more flag wraps for 4 more years.

These spinners work just as intended! For years we used to untwist our flag from being wrapped around the pole multiple times per day due to slight breezes/winds but have not had to do that a single time since installing these! They are heavy duty so I think they will hold up well. Easy to install!

I decided to buy a new flag and at the same time replace the original ring set with this product. While the ring set is a significant upgrade, I was somewhat disappointed with the very mediocre carabiners. These were almost identical to the original cheapies that came with the flagpole. I anticipated this and bought small stainless steel carabiners. Sadly, they slide into the hole but get hung up at the curve leading to the small eye and will not work due to the thicker metal on the new rings. It would require me to drill larger holes in the rings attachment plate which I chose not to do at this time. I will keep looking for a smaller marine grade carabiner set before drilling out larger holes. Summary: Robust ring upgrade, but the carabiners are just so so in my opinion.

I've had these for almost 4 years. Only recently was it necessary to lubricate them. Until then, they did a fine job of preventing any of my flags, regardless of weight, from wrapping around the poles. So, I've absolutely no complaints. They are everything that they should be.

With the several negative comments about these, I was a bit concerned that these would not work but was pleasantly surprised! For the relatively small difference between this item and the plastic ones, these are definitely worth the few dollars! They have only been installed a few days but have been working well on some fairly breezy days. The flag will occasionally wrap around the pole from the wind but almost immediately unwrap itself and fly straight. I don't know if this is due to the ball bearings having a smooth rotating action or the added length of the carabiner and attachment arm (or both!) but, whatever the reason, they work! I'll try to remember to update this review in a few months to see if this opinion stays the same after some wear but, at least for now, these do the job admirably!

This replaces the cheap plastic ones, which actually served me well for nearly 2 years. The plastic cracked when I tried to tighten onto the pole. Anyway, hard to understand how excited I am to have these. They seem very high quality. I have a 3x5 American flag, and these rotate well in the wind. Some of the reviews say the bearings were rough, NOT my experience with the 2 sets I bought. In a lighter wind the flag is ALWAYS going to fall back on itself and appears to be tangled, but the light wind also gets the flag right again. I did not see the Stanwood (USA made) product until after I orders 2 sets of these. I can’t imagine they are any better than these, but I probably would have bought Stanwood even though they are over twice as expensive! If I got 2 years out of the crap plastic ones, I better get 10 years out of this product. UPDATE: In just under three years the bearings rusted to the point where they did not work well anymore. I ended up buying the Stanwood American made ones with stainless steel bearings. They are awesome!!!!

Update Dec ‘24: Still spinning as nice or better than new, no rust visible on the bearings, must be stainless. Works like a charm. Actual ball bearings. No more tangled flags. Huge difference to the glider rings I’ve had before & tested all kinds of snake oils on to no avail. Aluminum housing with shiny bearings inside, no seal visible, I’ll report back after one year how they stand up to the elements.

Exactly what your flag pole needs, it would be nice if they came in different sizes, I have a 2nd pole with a diameter of 1.35" and would like to have these installed, however very few options for bigger poles.

This worked great to fix an old fibreglass flag pole that would have been trash...if you have a pole that is smaller than the inner diameter of this unit its easy to fix with a PVC split sleeve you can make yourself. The only thing I would suggest is put locktite on the threaded ring retainer...I had one come loose from the constant moving in wind, but it was quickly fixed with locktite and no issues since.

Unit is well build and shipped in its own special box, but its not designed to fit all mast sizes if you have a 1/2" mast say like a navigation light maston a bioat you will need to increase the size of the mast with some tape or other material, but otherwise its great.

No ball bearings, not even close to resembling the photos in the ad, no brand name anywhere, just cheap aluminum rings on an aluminum body. Returned.
