Received Broken
Received broken unit. I will never buy Peavey products again. Peavey used too be respectable. Now they take money to provide junk. Bluetooth broken. EFX broken. Blank LCD screen. Red lights stuck on. A simple power on shows the mixer is broken. Expensive lesson.

Solid Performer at a great price
I purchased the Bluetooth version without autotune. I was using a older SoundCraft Spirit FX16 16ch board. It was a good warm board, but not really great and frankly gigged out. I found that the sound with this mixer was much more punchy and less airy. Add in the Kosmos and it really filled out the bluetooth tunes nicely. The overall effect was that the live vocals felt "more personal" and that the canned music felt like they were "nicely enhanced with dark bass". I am using a Peavey IPR2000 watt digital amp running four PR12 speakers, two on each channel for my small setup. The amp and speakers are the same used with the FX16 so this was a great A/B comparison. This has much quieter preamps - the FX16 were terrible at 3/4 throttle, while these are deathly quiet at the same level. I use SM58 mics and windjammers for outdoor performances and the vocals felt studio through the headset, and putting your ears up to a 1/2 throttle speaker (on the amp) with the mixers down but the mains at unity was amazingly similar to being unpowered. This may be a budget board, but it leaves nothing on the table that I was looking for.The compression was really nice. I ran it at 1/4 throttle and it helped my novice singer feel a little more controlled when it mixed. With a more experienced singer, I would likely turn it off so to not clip their ethos that they are trying to create. I also put a touch of reverb on just the vocal to give a little gravitas and it was barely perceptible when you listened for it but it sold really well. I could do that with my previous setup using a external compressor and the basic effects, but this was so convenient on this board. No idea on longevity, but all of my Peavey stuff (with the exception of one recent digital amp) has been very honest and workmanlike in its durability. All of my junk except for some Mackie little mixers is Peavey, and it is well matched, durable for weekly gigging, and holding up great. I run my setup about once a week and have been doing so for years. I have 10 cabinets (All PR12s,15s and 10s) and a bunch of amps I can build it out for a big outdoor wedding or keep it a small 4 cabinet setup for a smallish group. All I can say is that this board is a gem and a huge value for what it gives. Honestly though, it is really an 8 channel board with four primary and four secondary channels, plus some other ancillary channels and foof that you use but you could get by without. If you have 9 channels you really need, pop for a bigger board cause at 10 channels, this thing is really done. For me, I have smaller mixers that I can chain together, so I am fine with 8 real channels.
