Vintage Style 7.75" Tin Robot
Pretty cool tin robot. It is not manufactured by Schylling however. All Schylling toys come with a Schylling key, this one is generic. This is not a Schylling robot (fyi - as it is advertised - heads up!). Its probably a Chinese copy, alot are "HaHa" toys. Since this one isnt Schylling Id guess its most likely Ha Ha Toys. Hard to say tbh, either way not Schylling. It sparks (eyes and mouth)Its legs move and it goes forwardYou use the included key to wind it upIts pretty big with a wide bodyOn its head is an on/off switch, it is the loop on the top of the robot-wind it up with the included key and then pull upwards and the robot starts to walk and spark (eyes and mouth)The wind up mechanism feels solid enough to not break so long as you dont over tightenWhat causes the sparks is a flint inside the robot which I dont think youd ever be able to replace - so use sparinglyAgain all Schylling tin toys come with a Schylling key (Schylling is stamped / embeded on the key) - this one is not by Schylling. I do not know why Amazon lets it be advertised as such when it is not by Schylling?!I bought mine from OFF THE WALL TOYS and it arrived damaged, a thick strip of paint was rubbed off of its body about 2" in lengthI set up a return, Amazon was kind enough to pay me (credit back) back the same day I shipped it (pre-paid ship label)I also sent back a Lilliput blue robot because of the many scraches as well, same seller here on AmazonI hope my review helps you decide. It is a cool robot if you receive one in good condition!

Poor packaging
This is a nice novelty toy. It was dinged up from poor/absent packaging. Mild damage which could have easily been prevented.

Beat up..
I love the little robot. But he arrived a little beat up. Canโt really complain because it was pretty cheap. His body was a little scratched and it looks like the antenna on his head was bent in shipping. Still a good lookin piece though.

The only reason I am keeping it is that is was the best of the three robots I ordered from this seller
The robot is not Schylling as advertised in the description. It is a cheap Chinese knock off, charging the amount you would pay for an actual Schylling robot. This is important for collectors. I am giving it as a gift, so I can't use the cheap plain box it came in with "MADE IN CHINA" all over it. The top look is also broken, it does not turn the robot on and off as it should. The only reason I am keeping it is that is was the best of the three robots I ordered from this seller. Bummer.

This robot was all scratched up when I received it, yet the box was in excellent condition. Whatever happened to it happened before if went into the box. There are wear marks on this robot that don't make any sense. I can't believe this is a Schylling robot. It came in a corrugated box not the graphic art box that I was expecting. I bought this same robot for my son a few years ago and it was great. I am really disappointed with this purchase.
