Used it for a large mixed group of chickens and guineas. It works great. I put doggy piddle pads on the bottom and then chips on top so easy clean just fold up the pads and remove all the waste. The one small side does not have any grate, so I used old dog pen one. I could close that side at night since it is a solid wood one to keep the little chicks warm at night with a stand warmer then open it up for light during the day but had to put my own grate on it. It is very large so good for like 15 chickens. Fairly easy to put together and I will use it for any sick chickens in the future as good isolation cage.

I was buying materials to build a house for my Hermann’s Tortoise which is no issue for me. However, I googled plans to compare to mine and came across this one. I then compared cost of materials and it was a hands down no brainer that this was a much smarter purchase. It’s easy to assemble and has self tapping screws to assist the few parts without holes drilled. The wood is soft. It’s not perfect but it’s very good value and is perfect for my tortoise. The smell is like a mopped floor and goes away rapidly. No big deal. The two removable tray bottoms lined with plastic trays for the two areas is great. Really pleased.

The overall concept of the tank/cage is great. I like that it has a built in hideaway and the two openings on top makes it easy to get into. It's also real easy to build even in less than thirty minutes it was built. There is only two cons/flaws one- there is no preholes drilled for the screws in at least 70% of the built. Not to big of a deal but for others might make it harder and 2- the bottom cleaning tray is glued/built into the base so no easy removal like other small animal cages or dog pins. So only hand wiping while hunched over it. Once again not a big deal basically like cleaning bottom of fish tank. But overall great product

I got this a couple weeks ago cause my Russian tortoise needed a bigger habitat. I seen this and I decided to give it a try. It wasn’t hard putting together and it’s holding up pretty well. I definitely recommend this.

I didn't like the pungent odor and I didn't want to send it back so I corrected the things I didn't like. I knew I had to seal in the odor so I painted it with kitchen paint. When it dried I sealed it again with non-toxic polyurethane. I didn't like the detached bottom because the main cage would easily slide off. I lined everything up and duct taped the bottom to the top. I left off the mesh top because I didn't really need it. I ended up with a very nice Tortoise habitat. The polyurethane sealer although non-toxic has a slight unoffensive odor but I doubt my tortoise will mind. It will stay outside tonight to air out then tomorrow I set it up and put him in it.

Great little habitat for the price note do not use drill to assemble you will split the wood Allen key works just fine or if you do use it a drill turn it way way down can't beat for the price highly recommend it

First off the lock hinges seems to be on the cheap side but they could always be changed and where the plexiglass is they put a film protector on it and it is partially under the wood so it makes it a little difficult to get off but other than that It was easy to assemble , love the look and how big and spacious it is for our Cecil .... We just got it today so if I think of it I'll write another review later down the road .... It has a plastic bottom and and the walls are built with wood and it seems to be pretty sturdy

This hutch is a good design, well made and was easy to assemble. Assembly took me about 15 minutes; I used an electric screwdriver which made it trivial. The size is perfect, it actually seems bigger that it appeared. The base has a washable, plastic liner which is slightly concave too, preventing the woodwork from getting wet. The entrance between the two sections is nice and wide. Both sides have a hinged lid. The only problem I had was the plastic covering of the perspex panels which was hard to pull off, but I ran a blade around the edges to do that. I bought this for indoor use, I don't think it would be good outdoors since rain would accumulate in the base. Overall, excellent product and I might buy another.

Absolute Kaufempfehlung Gehege ist in 2 Kammern geteilt so das sich jedes Tier auch mal zurück ziehen kann. Für innen und ausser geeignet ,da das Tier sehr gut geschützt ist. Gut verarbeitet Absolut zu empfehlen

1 ster is nog te veel. Zag er leuk uit maar de kwaliteit bleek schokkend slecht. Heel dun dennenhout, lelijk en slecht afgewerkt en onvoldoende voorbereid om snel in elkaar te zetten. Er waren bijvoorbeeld geen voorgeboorde gaatjes. Op een voor het dier gevaarlijke plek stak een lelijke scherpe spijker uit. Het hok stinkt ook nog eens heel erg. Ik wilde het direct retourneren maar ook dat viel behoorlijk tegen. Moest het opsturen naar een adres in Duitsland en dat dan zelf betalen. Maar door de omvang van het pakket was dit niet eenvoudig en heel duur. Heb het daarom toch maar in elkaar gezet maar uiteindelijk weg moeten gooien. Kortom, dit was een enorme miskoop en weg gegooid geld. Mijn advies: zoek vooral iets beters!

Ho comprato questo prodotto per la mia tartaruga di terra. Devo dire che mi ha stupita in positivo in quanto è veramente di ottima fattura e molto grande, tutto quello che cercavo! Ho letto in molte recensioni che si lamentavano dell'odore ma niente piu che "odore" di legno verniciato ma assolutamente non fastidioso! Consigliato!
