I bought this for a small handheld radio for use with shortwave stations and lower frequency ham transmissions. For the price the quality is generally good and it works well allowing the antenna wire to be easily stowed away when not in use. And it can be clipped to a telescopic antenna or plugged into a 3.5mm socket, which covers pretty much all my usage scenarios. Plus, the size is small enough to easily slip in a pocket for expeditions and seaside picnics. However, I have knocked one star off for a minor problem. As my photo shows, the hanging clip is very fragile. Partly that's due to thin plastic with dainty hinges, but largely it's because the spring is much too strong for the clip design. So I took it out of the box and lightly pressed the ends together and boinggg - it rapidly disassembled itself. I put it back together a couple of times and the same thing happened. So I've attached another clip in its' place and all is now well in the world of my antenna.

made the signals on fm and sw really pop.. doubled my received channels on both of my radios whether plugged into the ext antenna socket (if available) ir just clipped to the telescopic mast. . worked perfectly and connects easily.. and you can't knock a couple quid to boost the signals so clearly.. bargain.

Item arrived incomplete: the clip-on adaptor for the telescopic whip was missing from package which was a nuisance and limits usefulness.

I was sceptical at first, mainly due to how cheap it was! But was really impressed with it, actually well-made lightweight. Would be easy to take with me when wild camping when trying short wave radio out. Don’t know whether it’s designed to, but use the included clip to put it onto a small telescopic aerial on a DAB radio. Previously we only receive 6 to 8 stations. Now receive 90 really clearly definitely definitely worth the money

I took a chance on buying this pocket antenna, I’m certainly glad i did. I’d just bought myself a pocket sized, SW,FM,MW,LW radio receiver, that has a 3.5mm antenna jack. I walked to the top of three high hills in my local area, each with a clear view of a different direction. Each in turn, after setting up the antenna, gave me a clear signal on different stations, especially on FM and SW. The seven meter extension long wire has two different connections, one being the 3.5mm jack, as well as a telescopic antenna slide on connector, both work well but the 3.5mm jack works better. For less than £10 it’s worth every single penny and is now irreplaceable as a part of my outdoors radio system.

Po kilku dniach testów, stwierdzam, że poprawia odbiór na falach krótkich SW i na UKF. Nie ma co oczekiwać cudów, to tylko 7 metrów kabelka więc najsłabszych stacji i tak nie będzie słychać. Mimo wszystko produkt wart swojej ceny. Kabel rozwija się i zwija bezproblemowo.

Me compré esta antena para mejorar la recepción de señal de onda corta en una radio de la misma marca XHDATA, y de entrada puedo comentar varias cosas. La primera es que tiene mayor longitud que el cable de antena que venía con la misma radio, la segunda es que es muy versátil ya que puedes sujetarla a la misma antena de la propia radio o conectarla por toma jack en la toma de antena que tenía mi radio, la tercera es que la pinza que tiene para engancharla en un lugar elevado para aumentar la recepción de la señal es un punto a favor, y por último el mecanismo para recoger el cable y dejarlo guardado es perfecto para no perder el tiempo plegando los cables para guardarlos. La conecte para probarla y es apreciable la mejora en la recepción de señal, así que cumple también con su cometido. ¿La volvería a comprar? Sin ninguna duda.
