This is my second purchase of the Super Brain Power book/cd. I was already a fan of meditation as a tool for improving brain symmetry and cognitive function, but this program took my practice to a new level. I have been using it with success for years. I recently gave away my first book and cd, and so had to replace it. I missed it terribly :-)The book covers a convoluted potpourri of subjects in a concise way that most anyone will understand. The cd is profoundly relaxing (as is common with audio programs that use this type of technology) and also provides extra benefits that simple meditation cds seem to miss. The book is just fabulous. It made me see things so easily in such a well written, down to earth english, that I couldn't put it down. However, the cd that was supposed to be with the book was not there. This is an intricate part of the books method. This makes it half a package. If you are going to advertise a book, be sure it is complete before you sell it and ship it. Very dissappointed, left me hanging as to what the cd was like. Be sure to call first and ask if the disc is in the book if you plan on ordering it, otherwise it's like getting a birthday cake with no iceing.

It was said on the CD to do 4-5 sessions per week. I will be doing 5 per day. Bought this back in 1999. This method trains the brain really fast and long term.

Very good book here, covers the basics in most areas of mind expansion that I can think of. Excellent use of motivational psychology and philosophy. The Super Intelligence track on the CD is useful as well for a relaxing sound bath, but make sure you set your CD player to repeat this track or you will be blasted from your bliss by the horrific Mozart Brain Boost track that follows, as it seems about a million times the volume and like a ton of dynamite going off under your pillow. All in all this book and CD is well worth the time and money as a stepping stone to greater things on your journey to higher consciousness.

I was intereted in the book and cd, not just the book. Even though the transaction was inexpensive, it was a waste of money not getting the complete package as I desired.

Bottom line, 5 stars for meditation aid and relaxation. If you're looking for behavior modification subliminals, look someplace else. But, I am not sure effective ones really exist given my experience.Someone else reviewed who bought way back in the day, as I did...in the 90s. The brain entrainment never really happened for behavior changes, but it is the best meditation aid I have ever had. The binaural sounds would always put me in a state of complete relaxation; when the wakeup sounds happened, I was always in a very deep state.I'm pretty sure the direction of the company has been wrong. But Dane Spotts did have something special in the original material I bought for relaxation and meditation. Too bad it turned into a crass enterprise to sell other benefits.I've purchased meditation and enhancement materials since (solfeggio frequency based, etc.). Nice, but failed to produce any real effects other than being pleasant to listen to.I won't show up as a verified buyer because I bought before Amazon existed. I'm glad I bought the original material. I'd love to have a remake on modern media with the pure binaural and no subliminal -- because it was fantastic.
