My go to pan for just about everything
If you're like me, you just want a non-stick pan that stays non-stick and doesn't poison you in the process of cooking your food.Well look no further than these "Rock" pans by Starfrit.I always spray a little olive oil in the pan, but my eggs never stick. Wonderful to cook with and super easy to clean. I am gradually replacing all my pans with this type.

Excellent fry pan, in use daily.
I've had this skillet for a year now, both my wife and I use it almost daily and it is wonderful. Cooks nicely on our gas stove and we only wash it once a week or so. Otherwise we just easily wipe it out to keep it seasoned. After a year's use it isn't scratched or showing any flaws other than a little discoloration on the bottom. The non-stick surface works well. We have the glass lid for it and when I cooked three steamed eggs at a time, I don't even need a spatula, they just slide out smoothly with unbroken yolks.

A great non stick pan, lasted past three years
My father introduced this pan to me; granted, it had already been through cooking hell, but it was the first pan I had ever used to cook anything for myself, and it is an amazing pan.It starts to degrade if you don't take care of it properly, as was the case with the first pan. Eventually, as new company moved in and they roughhoused with the pan, it lost its nonstick properties, because they basically went against all of what the instructions say to care for the pan. So I ended up buying a new one for myself andI didn't expect it to be THIS amazing. There's literally nothing sticking, neither during cooking nor during cleaning. I'll be the only one using it, and thus the only one who knows how to respect the instructions and keep this thing nonsticky for years to come. I'm so glad this was my first pan.Edit: Nearly two years later and I just made a batch of scrambled eggs. Anyone knows how hard it is to get that crap off of your pan. Works great!Edit: As of 2021/11/21, I've decided to retire the pan. It's sticking too much for me to clean easily. It has lasted past three years (that's how long the instructions say it will last). I attached pictures of the brand new one (has a slightly different design) and the one being retired on the right. The new design seems to have less white flecks and a grittier texture on the outside than the old design. New handle is a tiny bit thicker than the old one.

Best pan I've found in a long time
I initially bought this frying pan at BJs, with little to no expectations of it lasting longer than 4-6 months, just like every pan out there now. But this pan shockingly held up for a couple years, using it about once a day. Cleans really well, only use a little bit of oil and cheese doesn't stick to it. I bought a second/ replacement one here, again, zero expectations that they didn't change the pan and now they're terrible and don't last. Still works! Never thought I'd be excited about a frying pan, but hey, here I am.

great non-stick pan, but not very heavy
This is a tough little pan and I'm glad not to worry about the non-stick filling coming off in the food. I'm able to make over-easy eggs without adding any fat to the pan (which is the main use of this small skillet). The only downside is that it's not a heavy-bottomed pan, so you need to keep an eye on things so they don't burn. The heat distribution seems to be good, which is often a problem in lightweight pans.

Every day, this pan rocks my omelette's world!
Cooking is a passion of mine. I own Lodge cast iron, a variety of stainless steel cookware, and more. Recently, I wanted to find a great 3 egg omelette pan: something durable, cheap, and supremely non-stick. I believe I've found this with "The Rock."For years, I'd used my stainless steel sauce pots for scrambled eggs and omelettes because, as a poor student, that's what I had on hand. The pots are oddly sized for the job, flipping is a pain, and soaking after use is a necessity unless I use a truckload of oil. I desperately wanted something to create healthy food without too much oil or butter. I was dubious about springing for non-stick cookware; however, I'd seen the Rock at Costco a couple of times. Costco being one of my most trusted consumer barometers, I decided to take the plunge.•• The Non-stickiest Non-stick ••Terrified of Teflon? According to Starfrit's website, The Rock has NO coating -- Teflon or otherwise. The non-stick is made possible by the manufacturing process of its signature pebbly texture. A neat concept, but how does it stack up?As you can see from my pictures below this review, the Rock is ridiculously non-stick. That's a standard 3 egg omelette with half a teaspoon of coconut oil (probably less, honestly). The eggs slide right off with a tilt of the pan. Goodbye sticky egg leftover messes; hello extra free time! I legitimately sound like an infomercial, but it really is stupid easy.•• Durability ••When I hear horror stories about non-stick cookware, it usually involves one of three things:1. Overheating the pan causing the coating to wear out quickly.2. Scraping the pan with metal, causing the coating to come off into food.3. Only cleaning via dishwasher. The common factor is... people not respecting the limitations of the cookware. All of these situations can be avoided, and your non-stick can be used for years to come. Non-stick is supposed to be used at a MAXIMUM of medium heat on your average stove-top burner. Regarding the dishwasher, it's SO easy to clean inside of 5 seconds, I don't use it. It IS rated dishwasher safe, though. To go with it, I purchased this Chef Series FLEX Silicone Spatula 600F Heat-Resistant Spatula . As you can see from the pictures, I don't have to worry much about leaving it on the side of the pan since it's resistant up to 600 degrees farenheit. I got tired of spatulas that were either too flimsy or too thick for perfect omelette flipping, so I did some research and picked Di Oro living. They're also carried at Costco, Walmart, Bed, Bath & Beyond, etc. This particular spatula is the perfect flipping partner. It's durable yet soft and extremely flexible. I anticipate a long, loving relationship between my cookware :)•• Picking A Size ••The perfect omelette pan differs between cultures. Some prefer 7", some 8", and some 9". I picked 8 because it is an excellent medium.6.5" inch = This tiny pan will fit 1 egg, sunny side up. It's great for finishing off your Bibimbap order but generally too small for omelettes.8" = Perfect size for 3 egg omelettes, in my opinion. You can make that judgement on your own once you see my photos below. Because it's the "perfect size," there's always less to clean, which is a huge bonus.10" = I saw this at Costco and compared it to various other sizes. It's slightly too large for my daily use. It'll make omelettes fine and has room for more than 3 eggs, but that extra room makes flipping SLIGHTLY more difficult. Trust me, it's so non-stick you shouldn't have a problem. Just consider your needs when picking the size!•• Conclusion ••I couldn't recommend this pan more. It's exactly what I was looking for. It isn't a great, multi-purpose piece of cookware. It's a specific instrument in the kitchen that handles low-temperatures like nothing else. I make a ton of omelettes and sauteed veggies at low temps; it's perfect for those applications. I'll update the moment it show signs of wear or slows down on the stickiness. Happy cooking :) Chef Series FLEX Silicone Spatula 600F Heat-Resistant Spatula

The best Fry Pan ever
I bought this pan as replacement for my old tefal of the same size. Its the best pan I ever had. I have already stopped using all my other pans. I bought also a big sauce pan from The Rock. Cannot fail that one too.
