Best game you might ever play, but a subpar port.
Nocturne is without a doubt one of the best games I've played. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an engaging RPG to spend ~60 hours on for a single playthrough. The HD Remaster feels mediocre however. It's essentially the original PS2 release but in widescreen and a higher resolution. The horribly compressed music is still prevalent in the remaster, and it's still locked to 30 fps. I played in handheld 100% of the time and noticed lots of resolution downscaling and sometimes large frame drops when using certain skills that had some on screen effects, which really shouldn't be happening on a PS2 port. There were also some freezes during the last quarter of the game that lasted for 3-5 seconds during some battles. I'd still wholeheartedly recommend the game though. Play it. Play it right now.

Impressive Remake
This seems more like a remoke than just a remaster, which is just the same game in a new resolution usually. I started it and was impressed by the graphics and how it is a perfect fit on Switch.

A game worth playing
SMT 3 is an essential game to play if you are a fan of the SMT universe. The story is unique and the combat and characters are not like your typical standard turn based RPG. This is a fantastic single player switch game that you can pick up and get a lot of time and value out of.

Want A Better, More Mature Pokemon-Like Game? Look No Further!
A classic, some even say a masterpiece, from Atlus' SMT series. If you ever wanted a Pokemon game that was more mature, with better graphics, story, and battling system, this is it. Once you play it, you'll never be able to look at Pokemon games again the same way without comparing it to the SMT series. If you're an older Pokemon fan that's been wanting the game to mature along with the audience, or are a fan of the Persona series (Persona being a spinoff of the Shin Megami Tensei series), you'll want to pick this up, and maybe even checkout the DS releases of the other games in the series. An amazing game, experience, and a wonderful time overall, I'm eagerly awaiting SMT V coming out later this year!5 Stars! Get it, you won't regret! Also available on Steam!

As great as it once was +1
It’s importance to understand the difference between remake and remaster, and I think even sometimes the industry gets it wrong. I’ve seen some negative press regarding SMT 3 as an “underwhelming remaster” as if people booted it up expecting a different game from the 2003 ps2 release, which in its time I saw as overwhelmingly underrated. And while the remaster has some new and improved features some from the later international release, such as voice acting a better camera and a few extra scenes and characters, it is largely the same game with improved graphical fidelity, which is a wonderful thing, if you’ve never played a SMT game this is a great place to start, it’s basically mature Pokémon. If you have only played SMT 4 or haven’t played SMT 3 since it’s ps2 iteration this a good place to get back into it. Persona kind of ran with this series of demon games and became the bread winner, but with the advent of SMT 5 on the horizon this is a good place to get your feet wet.

Childhood Dream come True
I played this back when I was 13 years old before I knew what the Persona series. I loved it. In my friend groups nobody even knew what this game was, this is back before the internet so nobody had access to reviews besdies magazines or G4 TV. This is the blockbuster era.I was SO surprised to hear that there was a remaster on the Switch 5 days before my birthday. I instantly purchased it. The remaster is really good. It still has the charm of a PS2 game, I would not say it's a COMPLETE remaster like the Final Fantasy 7 is on the PS4, but it's still really well done. I'm loving beating it again. Persona fans this is a must.

Fun game. I recommend this game to SMT fans, especially those who haven’t played this game.
This is my first time playing this game. So far I’m enjoying this game, I’m not sure where I would rank this game out of all of the other SMT games. However, I will say that this definitely one of the more difficult SMT game I’ve played.I would recommend this game to SMT fans especially ones who haven’t played this yet.

Great Game
I played this in normal mode and I didn't have to grind a lot to level up. Demon recruitment and fusing two to create a new one is part of the fun. I had to google strategies to defeat tough bosses. Overall, great entertainment.
