Poor Assembly Quality Control
Brand new out of the box it did not work at all. Upon disassembling entire device, found one wire clip not connected, and a multiple wire harness plug was not connected into its socket. After making repairs and reassembling, it worked perfectly. This is a good product that had poor assembly and poor quality control.

Love so much I ended up getting 2!!
Hope this helps someone else. It was hard choosing for me but feel was great choice!Imagine the Setting: hot, humid (86% outside) Alabama summer, Moderate home size 1854 upstairs/1854 downstairs.Heat pump was working so hard to keep it comfortable and the rooms still felt hot and sticky.Purchased initially on 4500sq dehumidifier and placed upstairs. Within a few hours it was feeling more comfortable. By the next day the settings on AC was turned up and the rooms still felt great.Added screen shots of the control and humidity levels to reflect how this unit is doing for us! It is great! After a couple weeks I purchased a second one for the downstairs space. For me it’s not noisy. On low it sounds like a quiet ceiling fan going. On the highest setting, the db is still in moderate range, for me it sounds close to an oven hood vent fan so is not bothersome.I love the easy to use control panel. Easy to read and adjust. It also has indicator lights as to clean filter and empty full reservoir. Also it has a large reservoir to collect water or you can use the drainage tube to run outside. We have ours going outside now so I don’t have to remember to empty it. The first days I was using the reservoir until I decided which room to place it. Definitely doing the job the first 24h I had to empty it twice!!I like the filter is a fine mesh and easy to clean and does not have to be replaced just cleaned gently.Great purchase obviously as I have gotten two.

Works super well
I live in an apartment where they put AC units in the wall of each apartment and the condenser outside. The units, at least mine, tend to get very humid. My "energy bill" is built into my rent and is a flat fee, so in Texas, you know I set my AC to 65 all day long..in the summer, it never gets that low, but it will reach 67 in the middle of the night/early morning.I bought a thermometer/hygrometer, and it was showing 70%+ in my bedroom. It made the 70 degrees I could get the temperature down to in the early evening feel so much hotter. It always felt so sticky, so I ordered this for the bedroom. My entire apartment is, I believe, around 800 sqft and the bedroom is decent sized. I am seeing that this holds 8 pints (3.79 liters), and it gets full approx every 3 hours, and it will often need to be emptied every 3 hrs 24 hrs a day. That means this thing is pulling 24+ liters of moisture out of the air in my bedroom every day? That seems insane that the air could even hold that much water, but I am emptying it like clockwork, and this thing is pretty great.I wish it was bigger, but it fits nicely next to my bed, is not very noisy- it sounds maybe like a floor fan on medium speed...it rolls around very nicely and easily, and it's super easy and intuitive to pull out the tank to dump it. The handle on the tank feels sturdy, not too heavy to carry to the tub to empty, is built in such a way that I can turn it almost totally over so it will quickly empty, and it's never splattered all around or went anywhere but the tub.The buttons on the top are super NOT intuitive. I have no idea who designed the buttons, but they are ridiculous and make little logical sense. I had to actually read the manual to figure out what the heck the buttons meant, because they are actually rather comical. The buttons on mine do not match the more logical buttons on the product pictures. Anyhow, it does not matter ultimately, as I have it set at 45% humidity and have the buttons set and never touch them. The filter comes out easily, very simple to clean. That area is easy to clean on the unit itself. It's very low profile which I like...it does not take up much space and is somewhat hidden next to my bed.You have to take off the tank that holds the water before you use it, which I did not realize, because the hose it comes with is in there and an adapter if I remember correctly. I do not use the hose as I have nowhere to run it/dump it in my apartment.Anyhow, it's been a god-send, and I run it 24 hours a day for a month now, no issues- it's not silent, but I can deal w the noise for the reduction in humidity. I am finding I can get it down from 70%+ to around 49% at the lowest so far. That's a nice reduction that makes it feel not at all sticky in my bedroom now. I will often close my bedroom door to make sure the humidity is down in there, as I also run a portable AC 24 hrs a day in my living room area. This has worked wonders so far.

Loud, but it does what you want it to
We have a finished basement that just kind of stays humid, and lacks a lot of weatherproofing (a future project to redo this). I have some musical instruments that were starting to smell a bit musty, and it just felt bad to be down there too long. This dehumidifier solved the problem right up. I don't have a separate device to measure humidity and verify the accuracy of the built-in, but I keep it somewhere between 55 and 60 on this device, and it has solved all the humidity and mustiness issues. An added bonus is that it has slightly heated our basement a little more, which helps equalize the 8-9 degree difference with the main level. Now that our heat kicks on more in winter, I find the bucket is rarely full, but last time it rained it completely filled the bucket overnight, so it's clearly doing its job.The only negative I've seen is the sound level - thankfully we're not trying to sleep nearby it, but it does get pretty loud. Considering we're mostly using it as a hangout area, it's easy enough to turn it off, and when guests are sleeping down there we just leave it on during the day instead. My space down there is around 1200 square feet, with two rooms, and this one appliance is enough for the entire space. It's likely even oversized, but the smaller units don't have a big enough reservoir. This one has plenty of room to where I only need to go down and empty it every few days. Overall, I'm very happy with this appliance and now I just need to find a good way to hook it up for permanent drain. I only wish I'd bought it several years ago!
