I'm really picky about not damaging my books. Are these thin enough such that they won't warp the pages or are they too thick?

If you have a book with thin or fragile pages, these bookmarks will wrinkle the pages. They work for my cheap books and the ones I'm only going to read once.

Do these come individually wrapped?

no. i wrapped them individually in tissue paper.

What is the double loop part for? I call it a double loop for lack of a better term.

I guess it could be to adjust length I.e the further apart you place them the shorter it is - so it'll fit more than 1 size of book
