Q: Is this different/better than the other versions or just labeled for women and more expensive?

I'm a man and I think it's the same stuff just a better sent the male one is like a old spice scent. This smells much better.

Q: Can you use it on wet hair to control frizz on natural wavy hair?

Yes, you can. I find it works well for me, I have the same kind of hair and concerns as well. Sometimes I use a spray bottle later on in the day to kind of rectivate it and to have a more wet look. It’s not heavy and washes out easily and smells great! Hope this helps!
