Great little fan, I bought the 14inch, it's just the right size to produce enough power the cool you down in the lounge on a hot day, looks good too. As for noise, it's not too noisy I don't think, the noise doesn't not come from the motor but the fan blades, and seeing as you need them to push air hard out I'm not sure much can been done about that. Video shows the fan on speed 2 and speed 3 [max]

Great fan. I got the copper one which looks lovely. On the slowest setting a nice gentle breeze which reaches across the room. On full setting watch out for any loose paperwork around :) :) it is very strong and so really cools down the room. I hvae it 20 feet from where I sit and works great. Little bit noisy when on full power, but to be honest I soon forgot about it. Not sure it would be good in the bedroom on high cos of the noise but can't see you would want it on high. Comes over as very well made unlike some plastic ones around. No fitting together as comes out of the box ready to use. Wsh they did a pedestal as good as this.
