Before I write this review always ask your doctor if you are taking any kind of meds. With that said, this honey is like no other honey it has amazing healing properties! I took my dog to the vet because he had deep wounds from a dog fight. They were giving him antibiotics & the wounds weren't healing so they rapped him everyday in a very high grade of Manuka honey. It was absolutely amazing! In a week his wounds were all healed. I thought,' geez if it can do that for a dog??? So i asked one of the techs at the vets if I could take it & she said with a firm NO!! Well I don't take no for answer, & I found out I can but a different grade. The honey has a different taste but oh the benefits:) I suggest before you buy to do research yourself on this superb honey.

This product is of great quality and worth every dime! The texture of this honey is nothing like what we are used to buying here in the US. The texture of this honey is thick and creamy, it looks like caramel and the taste is to die for! On top of the looks, taste and texture it has plenty of health benefits. This product is a definite MUST HAVE! Great for any use or purpose, but please make sure to serve with a wooden spoon! I have bought for myself and gifted a couple to my closests friends. They were very impressed and LOVED the honey as much as I did and will be buying it from here on out.

First UMF stands for “Unique Manuka Factor” and is a grading system developed by the UMF Honey Association in New Zealand. Supposedly, the higher the UMF the greater the health giving properties of the honey. MGO stands for ‘Methylglyoxal’. MGO is a unique naturally-occurring chemical compound found in manuka honey that gives it its unique antibacterial properties and make it one of the most sought after and rarest honeys in the world. A study in 2008 by researchers at Waikato University found that the ‘non-peroxide’ antimicrobial activity (NPA) in Mānuka honey (i.e. it's antibacterial properties) was directly correlated with its MGO levels. So, the higher the MGO, the higher the NPA or antibacterial properties of Mānuka honey.”Is Manuka honey worth all the extra money spent on it. On the Internet I found the answer to this question depends on what you're using it for and how much you're willing to spend. “If antimicrobial properties and quality are important to you, then manuka honey may be your pick…. While manuka honey may be slightly superior, it's important not to get carried away as the evidence is still not conclusive.” Manuka honey can be eaten on its own for its health giving properties or added to green tea, as I do. Green tea with Manuka honey is a delightful and healthy beverage. Unfortunately, we have to be careful not to add the honey to tea that is too hot for the heat will destroy some of the health giving properties of the honey. As readers can see by looking at the cost of this honey, Manuka honey is one of the most expensive honeys in the world and the cost of the honey typically depends on its health giving properties. Again, is this honey worth the cost? I don’t think so, but I would be very happy to receive it as a present at Christmas or a birthday. For now I’ll stick with acacia honey, also great tasting and good for me, but at much less cost. Recommended with noted reservations about price.

I got this at the recommendation of my Vet for open wound care post surgery. Within 12 hours of the first application, swelling/inflammation went down 85% and it looked to be healing much better.My dogs had zero interest in trying to eat the honey, it was something I was concerned about as it was being used on my "garbage can stomach" type dog, but he left it alone. Would buy again.

This is the best pure honey available. It contains no additives, is rich in flavor and taste!

It arrived with the seal broken. The color was much too dark and it was not thick, unlike the photos I have seen of it. It had a weird after taste that seemed to last all day. I did not take a whole teaspoon but only just a drop because the seal was broken. With the color so far off from what I expected and the seal open I don't know if it was tampered with. The taste is sweet but I can not trust to use it.

I use it in my green tea for flavor and better health.
