First - these are US size, so if you are used to ordering UK sizing, you'll need to know an H in this bra is going to be a couple cup sizes too small. Having said that, this is by far the most comfortable bra I've ever worn. No, they aren't sexy lingerie, but they don't look quite like something from the 1950's either. I'm at an age where comfort wins every time.I'm also a very large cup for someone who's only 5'3" (170lbs). I typically wear a UK size 36H - which translates to a US 36J/K depending on brand. This bra is sold in US sizing and the largest it goes is 36I. Even at 2 cup sizes too small for me (US 36I), I'll wear it because it's so incredibly comfortable - the cup fabric is also very forgiving. While the underwires don't lie completely flat in the center front (cup too small) I'll still wear them because at the end of the day I am still comfortable.The cups are also totally smooth, so if you wear under knit fabrics like T-shirts, it's incredible. It doesn't provide very good nipple concealment, so if you don't like it to be obvious that you HAVE nipples, or if your headlights are always on, you may not like this bra. However, there are two layers of fabric, so that does help.Side support means the girls are more front & center than they are in other soft cup bras. Soft cups are remarkably supportive. There is some jiggle but adjusting the shoulder straps a bit tighter eliminates most of it. The underwires generally don't dig in on the sides (under armpit), even when I'm buying 2 cup sizes smaller than I need. I have gotten two that dug in - both were black. I don't know if the black just does this or if it was a quality control issue. All of the "sand" versions I've purchased so far have been fine. The band is two layers of super soft fabric, with the elastic sandwisched between them - this means no chafing like other brands. It's also considered "bandless" meaning there's no extra trim under the cups.I noticed today when I restocked, that the price was significantly less, almost half of what it was previously... I hope this means they aren't discontinuing this style because finding a bra this comfortable is virtually impossible if you aren't a D cup or smaller.I just purchased 10 of these so I don't have to wear them more than one day in a row, and I have one to wear plus a spare when I'm washing the others. The last time I purchased these was 2 years ago and they have held up remarkably well. I wash in the machine in a zipper bag with my other light colored clothes (normal cycle, warm) and hang to dry. They'd probably last even longer if I hand-washed them but who has time for that?

I tried on many bras with Try Before You Buy. It’s a better way than store shopping, for sure. I have made plenty of returns. At this point in my life support and comfort are equal in priority for me. I’m big busted and not young. This bra is extremely comfortable and better than most. I still have a little problem with under arm wire on one side. It’s expensive but I kept it. It also has a slight seam problem in the back that almost has me returning it. I want a 5 star but not quite.

So, I'll start by saying that I'm 45 ywars old,have a pretty large chest and that I've had 2 kids. I'm a size 40DDD. I'm not skinny by any means and I usually HATE wearing an underwire. They usually poke me in the armpit, or my boobs spill over the front, or my back and side boob fat looks gross. I've been wearing bras without underwire for a while now because of how uncomfortable underwire is to me,but those bras aren't as supportive as I'd like. This bra is really good! The underwire doesn't poke me, my boobs are supported and not spilling out of the bra! They actually look perky in this bra! This is more than i usually spend on a bra because I hate bras and don't want to spend a ton of money if they're just going to be uncomfortable anyway. I'm ok with spending the money if it's comfortable and supportive, which This bra is. I will,definitely, be buying another of these.

This bra is SO soft and comfortable. I regularly wear a different Wacoal style, too, the Awareness bra (40I), but for some reason I needed a cup size down in this bra (40H). Also, the photo makes the white color look opaque, but it is slightly sheer. None of those things are preventing me from keeping the bra! I just ordered two more colors.

OMG. After decades of searching for a comfortable bra that fits, I found this bra. It's not only a perfect fit, but the fabric is smooth and the thread doesn't scratch my skin.

Wires don't dig in when you sit down into your armpits . This shapes the bust so nicely. Comfortable is an understatement. It's amazing. Been large chested all my life and this is hands down the best bra I've ever owned and I've owned a crap load of other brands throughout my life.Will only buy this from now on.Comfortable in EVERY way. Makes the large bust look presentable. You girls know what I'm talking about. Just buy it! You won't regret it.

first time buying a Walcoal, used to buy fancy bras always looking for the perfect fit, surprised and amazed, size 46DD, fits perfectly, large band so no underarms bulging, 4 hooks, the fabric is so soft but still can hold the breasts in place without spilling out. the shoulder straps don t hurt your shoulders. Nice shape. Worth $ to feel that great. Will buy more in different colors.

I haven’t purchased an underwire bra in many years and now I remember why. Although the bra itself fit very well and the cup was soft and comfortable, the underwire cut into my chest all the way up to near my arm pits. I tried loosening the clasp but it didn’t help so, unfortunately, the bra is being returned.
