Great mechanical pencil
I recently purchased this mechanical pencil, and I couldn't be happier with it! The sleek design and comfortable grip make it a joy to use for long periods. The lead advances smoothly without any jams, and the eraser works like a charm. It's become my go-to tool for both work and creative projects. Overall, highly recommend for anyone in need of a reliable and durable mechanical pencil!

Zebra Del Guard Review
I had great expectations after reading so many positive reviews here and on the internet. However, I was initially bummed when I first tried it. The Zebra Del Guard comes with HB lead. Though the pencil felt great in my large hands and very comfortable to write with, my notes looked too light on paper and were hard for my old eyes to read. So, I brought some Pentel Ain Stein lead refills with a darkness of 2B, and oh what a difference it made! The 2B lead wrote much smoother and darker, which made it significantly easier for me to read my own notes…finally.I’ve been testing numerous mechanical pencils and this combination of outstanding pencil and great Pentel leads has become my favorite pencil so far.Highly recommend this pencil and the replacement refills noted above.

Special construction extends lifetime of "lead"
Zebra Mechanical Pencil, Del Guard, 0.7mm, Black -- An improved mechanical pencil due to use of internal springs and their placement. Expect fewer breakings of the "lead." Included "lead" probably is HB in color. Just a bit too hard/light for many of my uses and I will eventually use B or 2B type. Was recommended for POTA log keeping and is well suited for that purpose, and for cursive writing in general. 0.7 mm seems near optimum for writing use. This is a desirable pencil for all ages!

Very nice pencil
Ran into this pen on a video i watched, so decided to give it a go.No regrets, the pencil does work as intended. The lead does not break as easily as expected, the pencil is comfortable and looks cool.Works great for writing on engineering paper, homework, wood working marks etc.If your into cool pencils, this one should be on your list.

everything is good but uncomfortable
This is a very good pencil, i tried to brake the pencil lead but i can't :)). But there's a problem with the design, the pencil is thick and hard so it's very uncomfortable when i use it for long time.

Perfect
I love these so much. Got this for a friend. I have a pink one already, she liked it and got it for her. It's the best mechanical pencil I've ever had. lol

This thing is amazing
I handle my mechanical pencils pretty harshly, especially when taking calc 2 notes in an accelerated course. My pencil lead has always been prone to breaking (I use 7mm, I tried 5mm once and I couldn't even use it). I looked up better mechanical pencils and first settled on the kuru toga. However, I stumbled on this pencil while looking for the 7mm version of the kuru. I ended up buying both. First night after they arrived, they both seemed decent enough. I tried the kuru doing homework, and my lead didn't break once. It's sort of nice how the lead auto rotates, but I didn't really notice it as an improvement, except for the lead not breaking. Next day in calc, we had a lot of notes. I had the zebra delguard with me and definitely noticed myself pressing too hard as I tried to keep up with the notes. The spring mechanism worked like a miracle, and my lead didn't break once. Honestly, I kind of prefer the fact that the lead gets sharpened on one side, unlike the kuru. I like how it "bites" into the paper a bit and writes darker. I guess I am used to rotating the pencil as I need subconsciously. Both pencils are very nice upgrades from my walmart pentels, but I am loving this Zebra, I will definitely buy more. Hoping it will last me.

High quality at a great price
When it comes to pens, Zebra is always one of my favorite brands. Their Sarasa gel pens are excellent. So I heard about this mechanical pencil - the Del Guard - and the technology in the point and I wanted to try one (I use the term 'technology' carefully, because it can be overused - but this really is an interesting design). The 'feel' is excellent and he writing is a joy. I tend to crush these types of pencils more than I should and this one really works with me and avoids breakage. So I'm happy.I am surprised about a couple of things. The device is very high quality and looks and feels like it. I can't believe the price (very inexpensive). So, I am really surprised at the great value.I also hadn't realized, at first, that these were shipping directly from Japan. Shipping was cheap and they arrived here quickly. Another pleasant surprise. But, as a pencil, the experience is first-rate. High quality, excellent performance, and a good value.

Protect the lead
I have been using this mechanical pencil for only a few days and have not broken the lead once. I am impressed. I lone the size of the barrel. It feels good in my hand. And since the lead does not break as easily I ordered 2 more for my daugther to use for school. She breaks leads easily. That will be a true test. But for me, I am very satisfied.

My Favourite Pencil!
One of the best pencils I've bought as an artist. Does exactly what it's designed to do, bought this to help with some pencil led I had that was more brittle than most and was going to waste in normal pencils. Ive bought a few of them already, some in other sizes. Again, my favorite mechanical pencils by far.

Saves on lead. Wish it had a comfort grip
After an 30+ minutes of drawing, it can start to feel sore to write with, not due to the lack of ergonomics, but just due to the lack of soft cushion. Its more like a standard wooden pencil in that regard.
