Looks Great ! Update - it’s a piece of junk
Fits perfectly and looks great, it’s on the boat so I can’t start it up until spring but so far so good. I powered it on, back lighting works, the tachometer was showing about 400 RPM but the needle immediately dropped to the zero when the power went on. So far so good I’ll update in the spring if there’s any change. —- Just started up the boat and the tack is all over the place, one moment it’s reading 1000 RPM the next one 3000 RPM and two or three seconds later 2000 RPM. no stability whatsoever. More junk.

Does not work and no support!
I bought 2 tachs to replace my flybridge units. I have twin 454 Crusader inboards that drive the signal off the coil. The instructions show a tach sensor and an alternator. There is no information except for speed ratio. The 8 cyl shows to set it at 4.0. All good but no reading at all. I took my professional tach/ dwell meter and checked the output signal wire at the dash and it works great. So the Eling tach is not reading the signal. So now I have two useless tachs. IF ANYONE HAS INFORMATION ON HOW TO MAKE THEM WORK I AM ALL EARS!. I was a certified marine mechanic and I am stumped. Someone posted tap the ground wire? does not make sense... I do not want to short out my other tach on the main station panel.

Cheap Chinese crap.
You get what you pay for. Has some weird internal algorithm that they don't explain clearly in instructions. Tried all settings and it's no good. No response from sales email. I submit to you now a snippet from the "instructions" verbatim for your perusal: " If your transmitter is installed on the flywheel, the ratio value is equal to the number of the engine gear. If the speed signals come from w point signal, the ratio value is equal to half the electrodeplate (Poles/2). If it is a gasoline engine the speed ratio is equal to the number of cylinders (cylinder/2)". Say Whaaaaaat! So now I have to get the timing light out, big hassle. I will say the backlight, hour meter and styling are awesome.

easy install and set up !
Just press and hold the black button on back bump the rpm'S to go down (-) or hold and bump up (+) the RPM's . Probably too technical for the layperson ... they should hire a mechanic to install. Pftttt

Do not buy, a piece of junk!
setup instructions are non existent and you can't even find help on the web. If I hadn't already installed it, I would send it back. Do not buy!!
