Needs steps for dogs to hop in and out
Dogs can’t climb up or down from it. So, trying to pick up a med size dog every time not so easy -or- an old dog. Definitely can use some sort of stairs for the dog to be able and comfortably to enter and exit the stroller. The stroller been made for bigger dogs up to 75 lbs.

Life saver for me
My half-dachshund suddenly could not use his back legs a little over a week ago. I got him in to the vet the next morning, and my internet explorations were confirmed: this is common in dachshunds, probably a slipped or damaged disc (still has reflex reactions in both hind legs, which is a good sign). The treatment is 6-12 weeks of keeping the dog immobile so that the disc can heal. This means lifting and carrying the dog, keeping him kenneled when not actively monitoring him. My two little dachshunds are not kennel trained, but I borrowed a kennel for him. While George's littermate Fred weighs 15 lbs, George weighs around 30 lbs. I am 70 and have some mobility issues, so carrying a dog as heavy as George is VERY difficult. I immediately began researching solutions and settled on the HPZ XL Pet Rover Premium Heavy Duty Stroller. It expands so that my long little dog can lay down comfortably, it is rated to carry a 75 lb dog, so it is presumably steady enough to transport a 30 lb one smoothly enough not to exacerbate his spinal injury. This means I can move my anxious little dog around the house with me (keeping him from trying to follow me), and carrying him next door on my own to my daughter's house, but keep from making my own medical issues worse while doing so. The stroller arrived yesterday (fully a day ahead of when Amazon said it would!!!) and I had some difficulty with assembling it - but called the help line and got a very cheerful and helpful woman who offered help, although my 8-year-old grandchild figured out how to put it together while I was calling - so this is clearly easy enough to assemble that a young child can do on their own!!! And if you don't have one of those, the help line is actually nice and helpful. I was worried that George would be frightened of being in a stroller, but it must feel very secure to him, because he is just fine with it (of course, he is drugged because of his injury). This stroller is easy to maneuver around inside my house, works quite easily in the yard even with grass that needs cutting, and now I can look forward to the next 5-11 weeks of confinement with the confidence that I can do this and help George recover, without hurting myself. I love this stroller. It's even big enough that George's littermate, Fred, can ride with him.ADDEDENDUM 2.5 weeks into use: I love this stroller, but have added some 3M reflective tape to parts of the stroller because I have to push it up and down a steep street without a sidewalk to get home - this is the only improvement I would suggest to the manufacturer. Make the stroller visible in the dark.

Worth buying!
Overall this is a great buy. It is durable but it’s the little things that count. Everything about this stroller is great except the following: 1) the wheels don’t really turn so it is hard to maneuver 2) the plastic clasp is not durable if you have to use it to secure the stroller. Mine broke and I wrote to Cindy the founder an email to help me to replace it as it is part of the warranty and I’ve not heard back. I wrote to customer service several emails and they claimed they have not received it. Finally filled out a form and still no response. Will give them another week and keep everyone here posted. It is an expensive investment but I cannot recommend it to you yet until I know their customer service is for real. UPDATE! They finally sent me a new stroller. Over a 6-week process abs lots of email exchange but they lived up to their promise so I highly recommend

Worst stroller ever!
Worst stroller EVER! I had bought a cheapie pet stroller at a pet expo because i needed something quick for one of my foster dogs. So i was so excited to buy this “highly rated” stroller. More expensive, durable etc. i used it ONCE and it has a tear and my dog can fit his head through it. My cheapie one is still great condition and it’s years old. This supposed heavy duty one is ruined after one use. Of course the return window has closed so I’m out of $ and stuck with this stroller. I do not recommend this stroller at all. Cheap and not worth even $50!

Blind cat adores this stroller, as do I
I adopted an adult blind cat almost four years ago, and last year started taking him for outdoor walks on a leash. He enjoys the walks, but we don't exactly get a cardio workout. I wanted a way to get him outdoors but not take an hour to circle my community. I resisted a pet stroller purchase because I wasn't sure I wanted to be *that* kind of cat person. I have a $400 dog stroller saved in my bookmarks, but I haven't "pulled the trigger" on it yet. I found this one on Amazon and liked its features, and the price was half of what I had been considering. It arrived almost fully assembled, Took a while to locate the folded lower basket liner, as it was under the "pads" that are supplied for the pet compartment. Those pads are about the only thing I would call substandard; I use a much thicker pad from a pet carrier for this instead. Well, Buster took to this immediately. He likes to stand with his front paws on the padded rails that encircle the pet compartment. I leave the mesh drop-down cover up, as he is leashed in with his harness and the supplied interior leashes. He loves to feel the breeze on his face, and we went on our second walk today for almost an hour. The length of step is something the manufacturer could consider redesigning, by bringing up the horizontal bars on the back up several inches. I have to alter my stride so I don't hit the bars with my feet. The ride is smooth and quiet, but the steering can be a little stiff. Overall I am glad I decided on this, and expect many years of use.
