Safe to use, safe to have.
Bought this for my granddaughter. Reliable, easy and safe, and she does not have to ask someone to help with cables; You never know who you are asking for help.Recommend for your wife, daughter or for yourself. I have a much more powerful version for my old Ford Diesel.

It lasts
I bought it 2 yrs ago, charged it up, put it in my car and forgot about it. I turned it on yesterday and it still had 4 lights (out of 4) and charged my phone. I topped up the charge and will be putting it back in the car, confident that it will be there if I need it.

One of the best purchases I've made in years. Peace of mind at last!
I didn't know how to review this until something went wrong... It's true. How could I write a review on a jump starter until I needed a jump start??? Well, it sure happened faster than I thought. Today, just as we were parking for a doctor appointment, the screen for the GPS went blank; the ABS and seat belt warning lights came on, then flickered and went off; then the battery indicator came on. There was barely enough power to use the turn signals. Now I know no one in California uses turn signals, but I do!My car is a 2011 Camry with all the bells and whistles. It's been so long, that I forgot how to open the lid, but I finally found it. There wasn't enough battery to open the trunk with the fob. I took out the "key" that is part of the fob, opened the trunk, and took out the SUNPOW 1500A Peak Jump Starter. Clipped red to red, ground to ground, got back in the car, and it started right away. I made it all the way to the dealer and even then had not built up a charge. Not the two year old battery; this was the alternator! Not going to be cheap, but cheaper than a used or new car! I have been a "member" for AAA for 60 years, and they're great, but since 2020, the two times I've needed them it took two and three hours to get to me. At least it wasn't 103° like the last time. Better, I had the SUNPOW Jump Starter: took it out of the trunk. It read four lights, so it was still well charged. Red to red; black to ground. Green light on. Push starter button (on fob), and the car started immediately! I've never been happier ... actually, more relieved. So, why not five stars? Because the cables, although long enough, have clamps that don't open wide enough. It took three tries to get a good grip on the poles. Once the light lit, bingo! But it really needs wider opening clamps. Minus one start for overall and minus the same one for "Easy to Use." That it has a flashlight and can charge my phone are not important to me. (I don't drive at night anymore: My phone is alsways charged; and the flashlight on my cell is bright enough. Make the clamps wider, and this would hav been 5 stars all the way.) And, I didn't need the model with the digital readout. Enough bells and whistles.

Buy It
If you don't have one. Buy It. I jumped a car 3 times, had not charged it in a year and still had 92% battery life. These things are awesome. This SunPow Brand is new to me but man it is solid.

great to have in your car!
I bought this 1500a charger because my 2001 Honda Civic doesn't have a warning if you leave the lights on! I also have a 1998 Toyota Corolla that is rarely used but has a new battery. I came out 2 days after an inspection on the Honda and the battery was dead. I forgot they check the lights during inspection but don't turn them off. The battery in the Toyota was dead from sitting. So I pulled out this thing and jumped both cars. they started right away. A week later the Toyota was dead again (hadn't used it since last jump). So I jumped it again, no problem.Since then I have jumped 8 more cars. This included a guy who left his car running with the keys locked in it all night until it ran out of gas. There was someone in a pickup trying to jump him with cables but unable to. I grabbed my charger and tried, no good. Then I noticed the green light on the side flashing. So I pushed the boost button next to it and it turned solid green. The car started right away!It has been 3 months now and I jumped one more car. I noticed I had to hit the boost then also. So I charged it for the first time (it comes fully charged). So far 3 people have bought one after seeing what it can do first hand.I really like the handy bag it comes in. There is even a pouch on the back for the instruction manual (good to have with you if you don't use it for a while). It comes with an AC adapter and USB cord to charge it with. There is another cord to plug in and charge your phone with. The charging harness it comes with plugs into its own socket. You can't put it in wrong because one side is round and the other is square. The wires are fairly short but long enough to reach both battery posts. The work light is a nice addition for night use. The light also has a strobe mode. There are 4 blue lights that show the charge level as well. The handy carry bag is heavy duty and has Velcro to hold the flap closed.Over all I think everyone should have one of these for the odd time you need a jump.P.S. When I bought mine it was only $59.95. Now I see it is $115. Still worth it! There is also a newer model with 2000a for $133. If you have a large diesel, that might be better. Either way it is better than having to wait for someone to come and give you a jump!
