Went diving this weekend and got to put this knife to use. It weights about half of what my other stainless dive knife weights but feels so much better to handle. The release is very easy to use and is a one handed operation. The disassembly is very nice as well. And the factory edge is razor blade sharp. My buddy snuck it out of my bag when heading out to cut some paracord and learned a valuable lesson. When we hit our mark the captain throttled back and he slipped forward and dropped the knife point down on his ankle. The tip stuck bone and he was spitting blood like a water fountain. Luckily it was a small hole that closed up after about 30 mins and some pressure. This knife is not your average pocket knife and shouldnt be used that way, let alone while heading out in choppy seas. I highly recommend it though.

Sharp knife with hard plastic sheath. There is plenty of rubber strap on top and the bottom. Did I mention this is a very sharp knife. Has a unique lock and hold built into the sheath also a a easy release button. The handle fits my large hand just fine. My wife's hand which is smaller and she she likes the grip better than her set-up. I only wish Promate made a sheath for wearing on a belt.

Use for Scuba and snorkeling. 23 dives and it comes in handy for defense and filet. The beautiful things about this blade? Easy to disassemble and oil, easy to sharpen, lightweight, leg sheath is perfect for easy release. Also. It fits on a standard harpoon rod. The rear of the blade is threaded. 1/2” standard. Amazing all around. Want another one for the other leg!

Very handy and light weight, but not as sharp as a new titanium blade should be.

My father is an avid scuba diver and had lost his 10 year old knife on a diving trip last summer. He had another trip planned in Cozumel in February. Fearing for his safety underwater, I researched for hours to find the perfect, reliable scuba knife as a Christmas present for him. Upon opening his gift, he was so excited. He marveled at the blade's sharpened edge and lightweight feel. He loved the dual purpose of the titanium hilt cap that could be used as a hammer or to bang on his oxygen tank for emergency signaling underwater. His favorite features were the sturdy, adjustable leg straps. When he came back from his trip, I eagerly asked about his knife. And to my disappointment (and his), he said it had broken the first time he used it. He had noticed a rope tangled around some coral that he felt would entrap any passing marine life. When he went to reach for the knife, the plastic handle slipped off of the blade! That's when he realized the titanium hilt cap had come off completely, which allowed the knife to come apart, rendering it useless and unsafe to handle. He had no idea when the cap had come off and searched for it in the immediate area, but to no avail. So I do not recommend this cheaply made product and would love a refund.

Arrived on time. The blade is non magnetic and sharp right out the box , used 2000 grit wet/dry sand paper and polished it to a razor sharpness without any trouble. Easy to disassemble and clean & oil. No rust after 2 long weekend dives.Comfortable in hand and scabbard and locking mechanism work good. Only issue was the leg straps, the buckles were attached wrong. Easy to fix, but it took a minute to figure out. Would definitely recommend a neoprene leg mount.

Titanium is strong, light weight, very sharp and will never rust
