It looks real without the mess with a real skol. Easy to line up the antlers. The only thing is the screws strip pretty easy.

It’s very very good, needs a bit of adjusting.... and it’s described on the package so that wasn’t a surprise. But its exceptionally white and with the “fake” sinuses” it’s easy to see it’s a reproduction...after peeling my deer head I found that his entire snout had been broken .... not sure if this was from a previous fight or what but I’ve never run into that before and I’ve completed a few now so I was forced to make a decision.... and I like Euro mounts so..... here we areI tried coffee to try to stain it darker, ya that doesn’t work! Well not to the realistic shade I was going for so I used stain and Matt clear coat paint with buffing in between coats and that worked great !If you just want to hang antlers and you don’t care then right on, but I want to make it look fairly real as well, so it takes a bit of elbow grease!Would I buy this again ? DEFINITELY, would I recommend it Definitely! It’s a great alternative !I may order another when it goes on sale just for a back up or maybe if I run across a worthy set of shed! Who knows but it’s nice to have this when your in a pickle such as I was !Also yes there are to “skull plates” 2 different sizes so that’s a bonus, mine came with wall hanger and all the hardware ! It’s a nice complete kit to get quickResults !

I painted mine matte black before i mounted the antlers. Looks fantastic and will definitely buy another one for my next buck. A lot faster and easier than doing your own euro mount, and when put side by side on the wall cant even tell the difference until you are up close and all over it. I suggest some sort of paint, even if it is a matte white. The plastic is glossy and you can tell from a mile away it is plastic, once you get a coat of matte on it it makes it seem more like natural bone that has been very well prep'd.

Once you decide the correct angle to saw the antlers off, you have to properly drill a hole for each antler at the correct angle. The two large screws provided aren't the best quality if you don't drill the holes deep enough because the screw heads may strip with the philips screwdriver. Just take your time and drill as deep as you need for the screw to go in all the way.It gets harder to turn the screwdriver when near the end so just take your time. When finished, the mount looks good and this saves some money and time if you don't want to do a true European mount. No one looks that close anyhow.

This was just what I was looking for, so much easier than actually doing the work required to achieve basically the same look. Very happy with the results. Looks awesome on the wall in my deer camp .
