what kind of charging cable can I use?

you could use USB-C to USB-A cable to charge the battery. A USB-C to USB-C cable won't work.

why would it gets super hot real quick?

As a small size, Ti Pro will produce much heat while working especially at high mode. We do not recommend keeping the light in turbo mode for more than 10 minutes.
