Simply put, you are not going to find better quality for the price. The ship is fully assembled with cloth sails. The details are better than I expected. I was impressed with the rigging, which is no easy task to pull off. It is a fairly faithful reproduction that makes a great display piece in my nautical-themed den.For those of you that have attempted to build ships like these from scratch, you know how labor intensive a project like this can be. If you look around for a museum-quality piece in this scale, you can easily pay north of $500 and quickly get into the thousands of dollars. For the price of this product, you're getting a good deal. Believe me.I had no problems with shipping and my model arrived undamaged. If you're looking for a model of the USS Constitution that doesn't look like it was put together in 3rd grade art class, but don't want to spend what it would take for a museum replica, this is the one for you. I highly recommend it.

The constitution model is excellent. Don’t care if it’s hand made or not (I think it is), it’s legit, the sails are even rigged with little pulleys. I’ve gotten two of these now they are so good. If you tried to buy something like this in a store if you are one of few ppl on earth to know where a store is that sells scale age of sail ship models, without a doubt it would be a lot more expensive. Honestly, if you’re debating getting it just get it. I know I said I got two now but I ordered 3 by accident and had to return one so you can always return it. I should have just kept the extra one since I got it again anyway. Hope this helps!

Nicely crafted and a wonderful addition to my collectibles. Good value for a wonderful, detailed display. I am delighted to add this to the displays in my study. It was packed and shipped in a way there was NO damage whatsoever to the ship and the rigging. The ONLY question I have, is why is the 50-Star American flag on the model instead of what correct historical flag that was actually flown on this replica?

A very nicely detailed model of the USS Constitution with some minor nitpicks:The overall length of her hull seems to have been shortened at this scale and thus it seems they didn’t have space to include the proper number of cannon. The model has 11 on the gun deck and 8 on the upper deck on each side. While the actual USS Constitution’s armament varied over her service life the usual number of cannon on these decks would have been 15 and 11 respectively, and certainly not fewer than that. The model also does not include the two chase cannon she would have had at her bow.The three masts on the model are equally spaced apart, with the main mast directly in the center of the deck. In reality the foremast sits much further forward while the main and mizzen masts sit closer together abaft of the center of the deck.The wheel is placed directly in front of the mizzen mast in such a manner that were tiny sailors to attempt to man this vessel they would not be able to steer her.I wish the flags were made of cloth not plastic.Aside from that the details on the rigging and sails and deck are quite nice and it’s a reasonable price considering the leap in cost it takes to get a much more detailed model. I’m happy to have old Ironsides on my shelf!

Bought this as a gift for a tall ship lover thinking it may not be acceptable quality or appearance when I unbox it. To my surprise(I'm not by any means, an authority on these ships) it looked very nice to me. The gift recipient 'seemed' appreciative. I later saw it on display in his house so I'm somewhat comfortable that he actually likes it.
