Twist Me: The Complete Trilogy

AN ENTRANCING TALE OF DARK, TWISTED LOVE THAT HELD MY HEART CAPTIVE!
“My captive. My wife. My entire world. I will never, ever let her go.”TWIST ME: The Complete Trilogy by Anna Zaires is hands down the most spellbinding series I have ever read! Addictive and passionate, dark and twisted, filled with tantalizing romance, palpable danger, thrilling suspense and SCORCHING HOT sensuality...it is a MUST read!!!!Ms. Zaires narrative is absolutely breathtaking, and she weaves an intricate plot that is beautifully complex, richly nuanced and epically grand in scope. So much happens throughout, it is impossible to fully encapsulate. But at its heart, this is a wildly passionate tale of dark, obsessive love that ignites between a ruthless, world renowned arms dealer and the innocent, pure-hearted beauty he kidnaps at 17 and spirits away to his remote private island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.TWIST ME features my fave anti-hero EVER, and, in my opinion, Julian Esguerra is unrivaled!! He is dark and predatory, insanely possessive, deliciously dominant and so fiercely protective he leaves me all aquiver!Larger than life and lethally handsome with dark hair, chiseled features, a powerful physique and glittering blue eyes, Julian rules his vast empire with an iron fist and he is MERCILESS with his enemies. Especially when he is backed into a corner or those in his inner circle are put in harm’s way.Julian is so powerful magnetic, in fact, is it any wonder why fans are so hopelessly smitten with him? What draws me to him, beyond his potent sex appeal and commanding presence, is how totally and utterly consumed he is with Nora! Through the course of the trilogy he conditions his beautiful prisoner to bend to his will, to love and depend on him so completely that she not only becomes his willing captive but cannot bear to live without him.Although he has an exquisitely gentle side, Julian is NOT s man to be crossed, and spells out his intentions toward his bewitching captive from the start. She is his ....forever. There will be no escape.“You are mine for the rest of your life,” he whispers harshly, the warmth of his breath making my skin prickle with goosebumps. “Do you understand me, Nora? All of you… It’s all mine to use and abuse as I will. I own you, inside and out, in every way possible…”He'd always planned on owning her, to get her to submit to his will and satisfy his every carnal desire, to be his adoring, obedient pet. Every move was coldly calculated and calmly methodical. He wanted to break her so he could put her back together.“I gather her against me, knowing she needs tenderness after brutality. And in a way, I need it too. I need to comfort her, to soothe her. To bind her to me when she’s at her most vulnerable, so I can ensure her love."But he never envisioned falling desperately in love in the process. But love her he did. With every beat of his dark, damaged, diabolical heart. In essence, Nora became the center of his universe. Every breath she took belonged to him, and her happiness, safety and well-being superseded EVERYTHING.“I will give you the world, my pet. The whole effing world—just as long as you’re mine.”While Julian does have his darker, sadistic tendencies, there is a raw, primal tenderness to him that just melts me!! His evolution from cruel, sadistic captor to darkly besotted husband and lover was such a gloriously thing to hold. But at his core he retained his same ruthlessly sinister edge. He made no excuses—or apologies--for the choices he made. He wanted Nora, so he took her. End of story. And in the process he stole the heart of countless fans.As it turns out, his docile pet is hardly “docile” after all. On the contrary, she is a warrior in her own right. And although in the early days the young spitfire fights tooth and nail against her forced captivity, through the course of the story Nora not only comes to accept her new reality but thrives on it and she soon comes so deeply entrenched in the dark, violent world Julian inhabits that her soul does not emerge unscathed. She soon comes to crave the primitive pleasure and torrid brutality that once terrified her the most. Before long, the two are so inexorably intertwined she needs both in equal measure."Julian has tapped into that dark, secret part of myself that is a mirror image of his own twisted desires. It’s a part of me that longs to give up control, to lose myself completely and just be his."This couple faces much danger and heartache, and many trials and tribulations along the way, and their addiction to one another is so overpowering they would literally walk through fire to save one another. Ms. Zaire never missed a single beat with the book. The erotic interludes were tastefully choreographed, scintillating—and plentiful!--and every plot point was brilliantly executed and so palpable it often left me gasping for breath. And the HEA ending? EPIC!!!!!!! The perfectly fitting ending for this beloved couple’s amazing journey…a journey that was filled with love and lust, pain and loss, but finally triumphs against ALL ODDS!!In closing, I was consumed from start to finish by this sumptuous, high octane romantic thriller, masterfully penned by the exceptionally talented Anna Zaires, about a dark, twisted love affair that defies logic and reason, and is guaranteed to hold my heart forever captive!

My favorite book of all time
First book is the best, and the third book is a satisfying epilogue, and I recommend the spin off trilogies.Arrived on time in accurately described condition in a plastic mailer w no added protection, and an excellent price for a whole trilogy (about 22$ for 3 books and shipping)It's a DARK romance and it reminds you time and time again. Just when you expect the dynamic to grow more domestic and soften, something happens and reminds you why it's DARK romance. Delving into the emotional and mental aspect of cnc bdsm that I've never seen in any other book, the connection between the dark horse leading man and the young random girl starts as you expect from a Stockholm syndrome book, but as the emotional and mental attentiveness permeate further into their story, the chemistry in undeniable by the end of the first book, solidified by the second, and settled in the third book.My favorite aspects are the ever present obsession the main man has for our girl, and the way he is perfectly at peace and aware of his dark nature. There is no 'I can fix him' but simply need, have, and have not. The attention to detail and obvious concern for the whole person (rather than satisfied needs) is where the powerplay and in depth exploration of d and s stand out in this series in particular. Oh, and the spicy scenes are top tier. Perfectly rereadable as well, many many times over. 10/10 in writing, concept, design, flow, and spice

Heady, erotic, and dark romance, just the way I like it.
This book was recommended to me as the first one I should read of Anna Zaires. And to those two unnamed friends who recommended this book, you get 10 stars with tails. If you like dark, if you like the lines between consent and non-consent blurred, and if you don't mind violence that fits the story, this is a perfect book for you to read. This Trilogy, even though I'd never read anything written by Ms. Zaires before kept me reading most of the weekend, eager to find out what was going to happen next between Julian and Nora. I love dark erotica and dark romance far better than hearts and flowers, although I read hearts and flowers too. Just depends upon the mood I'm in.In this trilogy you will meet Julian Esguerra, an arms dealer with enough money that he need not worry about the small little things that we all have to - like a hotel room when you want to visit Chicago (just buy a house), your wife wants to go to college but in no way would be accepted at Stanford (no problem, just donate money and explain quid pro quo), and so on. Then add to the fact that he's grown up in a violent environment, killing his first man at age 8, and you'll have an idea of what Julian is. Of course, that he's gorgeous doesn't hurt. Then we have Nora, who runs into Julian one night before she's even graduated from High School, while she's in a night club using fake ID. He's smitten, and a man like Julian takes what he wants. He also isn't above forcing Nora to bend to his will by dirty tricks.Anything more about the story and it would have to be classified as a spoiler. I will tell you that the scenes between Nora and Julian are hotter than Mount St. Helens (and steamier too) and where there's violence in this book, it fits the story to a "T". Nothing gratuitous here. And if there's any negative its that I felt that Ms. Zaires could up her writing game a bit. I found the writing to be flat in a few places, where descriptive phrases and a little alliteration would have gone a long way to sweetening up the writing a bit. There were spots where the narrative dragged and I found myself skimming over it (which drives me nuts to do). And since I'm reading the trilogy that follows this story - Capture me, The Trilogy, I can tell you I've already decided to read more of her writing. Her story arc was consistent between the three books, combined into this Trilogy. Now I'm hoping the next one is as interesting as the last.

One of my favourites!
“I took her, and I made her mine. I make no excuses for my actions. I feel no guilt either. I wanted Nora, and now she’s here with me, looking at me like I’m the most important person in her world”This amazing trilogy left me speechless! I started the series in different order so I kinda spoiled myself, but nevertheless it didn’t ruin my experience reading Twist Me trilogy last.Julian and Nora have a place in my heart. I’m always weak for their characters. At first, you think Julian is invincible or doesn’t really care whether Nora hates him or loves him but as the story goes, it just proves you wrong - the constant need to listen the “I love you” words from Nora, the guilt he feels when he does something that upsets her, his obsession to keep her safe and to know her whereabouts just proves you that this man does feel and does care if Nora truly loves him, truly cares about him. Anna Zaires wrote him beautifully. As for Nora, I had a little hard time getting to like her, but that just at the beginning. As the story goes, I truly liked her character and respect her when she literally put herself in danger in order to save Julian. She became stronger, determined, and loyal. The books were really good written, and the plot was intense. I just couldn’t catch any break! Very steamy book 🔥 I think I understand why many fellows were obsessed with Julian, this man is fire.I strongly recommend you to continue the series! Lucas and Yulia’s was the first trilogy I read and to say I was obsessed is an understatement. I’m so happy Anna Zaires didn’t match him with Rosa.As for Peter and Sara, time to re read because they ARE my favourite couple. I can’t believe I wasn’t interested in reading their story but when I did, lord! The best.

Intense and oh so wrong but still so good
This trilogy is a 50 Shades of Grey meets Dexter smash full of Stockholm syndrome. I still read it, up to the very end, so don't get me wrong, it's good, BUT it is twisted. The heroin falls in love with the guy who kidnaps her. She is a virgin and doesnt want to have sex with him, so, if she orgasms, is it rape? OF COURSE IT IS!!!! So, even though she enjoys it, he forces her. She also enjoys being belted and whipped, but not at first. FIRST she bawls her eyes out and sobs and begs him to stop. But then after the punishment, he comforts her and she starts associating pain with pleasure. It's sick, absolutely sick. Definitely big Trigger Alert for survivors of abuse and sexual assault. I kept reading it out of morbid curiosity. The 3 books together only amount to 690 pages, with the first book having only 197 pages, so the whole trilogy is what I'd consider a very long book. It is well written, in my humble opinion. I'm giving it 4 stars because I was thoroughly entertained, even if I abhorred several BDSM scenes. Not my cup of tea. Be warned!

Pessimo
Rapimento e violenza sessuale fatti passare per romanticismo. Non aggiungo altro. Non perdete tempo a leggere questa spazzatura.
