This is the 1st book I have read by the author Annika Martin, and I am so glad that I picked it up.This is the perfect example of a good romcom. Enemies to lovers and one of the funniest books I have read in a long time.Vicky agrees to take care of her elderly neighbours' dog after she dies. Little did she know Smuckers would be left a corporation worth billions, and of course, she is in charge of smackersHenry is the world's most arrogant CEO who just lost control of his company because his mum left the company to a dog!!! Story of Henry's life, his mum always cared more about her dogs than him.This story is more than just a fluffy romcom with so many themes, but I won't spoil the rest for you. This is a must-read if you are into romcoms or even if you are not.I will be binge reading the rest of this series because I need more.I love finding new authors. This is definitely a new one on my list to follow.

A nice, sweet but good amount of spicy read. His dedication and her persistent was great. They had growth, especially her, and it was good.

I recently read The Billionaire's Wake Up Call Girl, book 2 in Annika Martin's Billionaires of Manhatten series, and I enjoyed it so much that I couldn't wait to go back and read the rest of the series.Book 1 in that series in Most Eligible Billionaire, and I was thrilled to discover that I loved this was as much as Wake-Up Call Girl. If all the other books in the series follow the same vein, that I am going to be a very happy reader indeed.Most Eligible Bachelor begins when Bernadette, an eccentric, rich old lady dies and leaves her shares in the family company to her precious dog, Smuckers, and his reluctant "dog whisperer", Vicky. The change of leadership does not go down well with the company, particularly Bernadette's son and acting CEO, Henry Locke. Most Eligible Bachelor is begins as a fabulous enemies-to-lovers story, with instant animosity and friction between Vicky and Henry, but what I really appreciated the fact was that both our hero and heroines were quick to realise they may have misjudged the other.We also get instant, sizzling chemistry between the two main characters, which led to some very steamy moments between the two of them. I absolutely adored the way the relationship between the couple developed. Vicky has quite a considerable skeleton in her closet, and this secret definitely has the ability to cause some serious conflict between her and Henry. I waited a LONG TIME for the penny to drop, and the inevitable conflict to occur, and I was particularly impressed when Annika Martin surprised me by not taking the predictable route. She knows how to keep me on my toes.Most Eligible Bachelor is a complete joy of a read. It played with every single one of my emotions. These are exactly the kinds of books that someone needs to buy movie rights for ASAP - the characters leap of the page and come to life and I cannot get enough. I have such incredibly high expectations for the rest of the series.I should also mention that as well as reading this on my Kindle, I also downloaded the audiobook. For someone who is not usually a fan of audiobooks, I was blown away by the quality of this one. Both of the narrators were fabulous and perfectly embodied their characters, so if you do prefer to listen to the audio, I cannot recommend this one enough.

After reading the reviews I was expecting laugh out loud throughout. There were funny moments but I was just expecting more. Was a little repetitive at some points but overall ok.

I love love love this series, i read them out of sync, purely because i bought the set on an ad that had me juiced for the one, but thought get the set cant go wrong, anyway it doesn't matter if its out of sequence they could all stand alone, i am upset i will never have that feeling of reading one for the first time, i only have one left, what the hell am i going to do then, this one was just beautifully written, everything about it was WOW totally worth buying, the cuteness of Smuckers to Beligerent Bernadette to timid Vicky to the hotness that was Henry, i mean come on, it was just great, buy it you won't be sorry.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Henry, Vicky and smuckers helped pass a pleasant afternoon taking me into their whacky world and developing romance. Good read, off to read the next one.

Vickie aka Vanda meets an old women and her dog Vickie helps the women by pretending she is a dog whisperer. Vickie and her sister is in hiding from a past they never want to visit again. But the women dies leaving Vickie and the dog as chair holders in a multi million family business. She is called to the reading of the will then her life changes becomes complicated and effects her and her sisters semi stable life. She has secrets of her past life, she is hiding from the world and her mother. So falling for Henry is a huge complicated relationship the have feelings for each other lovers with hidden issues on both sides. It destroy s their relationship and Vickie and her sister are soon on the run again. From New York to London and a new life. But she didn't count on Henry finding them her believes in her and helps put the truth out in the open. Great read many misunderstanding s and twists powerful emotional journey to happiness. Going to read more from this author.

It is hard to believe that from their initial impression of one another, there would ever be any romantic sizzle between those two, but there is. Vicky is a very sympathetic and very strong female character, a true fighter. Yet, she managed to maintain her kindness, compassion and forgiveness. Henry might be very rich, but he is lucky to get her and he knows it. By playing it too safe, wanting to have his cake and eat it, he loses her and he learns the hardest lesson in his life. He goes from an entitled pain in the backside to a shaken, humbled individual who grows as a man and won't rest until he proves himself to the love of his life. Of course, he has to find her first.

This isn't just a love story, it has twists and turns that are so gooddd and keep you captured in the moment. I couldn't keep the book down, I finished it in a day. It has lots of sexy scenes for those who like that, but nothing too much. Overall, it was a great book. I'm looking forward to reading other books from this author.

Great good fun, and this author, new to me, sees things from a new and refreshing and unexpected angle -- sometimes hilarious, sometimes very thoughtful and serious. I've read several of the reviews already here, and urge you to do the same, and then run, don't walk, to get your copy.

She's not only an exceptionally talented storyteller and skilled wordslinger but also a genius at creating gruff, growly, hard-to-get-along-with, often unlikeable brutes and turning them into sexy, adorably cute, and irresistibly charming heroes as the story progresses. This may be categorized as an enemies to lovers romantic comedy, but it's filled to the brim with an engaging storyline, heartbreaking angst, realistic conflict, relatable characters, laugh out loud humor, snappy dialogue, steamy passion, and heartwarming love, all the elements of great drama including a beautifully written, clearly-defined first-person dual narrative. Most Eligible Billionaire is so much more than just a romantic comedy. Did I like this book? No, I LOVED it! There's absolutely nothing I didn't enjoy about this book! Would I recommend it? You bet, and I am but only for adult readers since it does contain explicit language, adult humor, and dreamy sex. The relationship between Henry and Vicky is more of a slow, seductive burn but when these two finally do get together, it blazes out of control, so much so that it literally explodes from the pages, Although there's no real violence, there is a reference to a past trauma that may be a little upsetting to some readers, and there might have been a very well-deserved punch thrown by the hero to a very deserving villain. Henry may have started out as a rich, spoiled badboy, accustomed to always getting his way, but eventually he becomes a real knight in shining armor. Love will do that a guy. Sigh... So dreamy! Will I read this author again! Absolutely! Just as soon as she releases her next book! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

Una volta morta, scopre che la vecchietta era ricca sfondata e che ha lasciato tutta l'attività di famiglia in mano al suo cane con lei cm custode. Il figlio Henry la odia, perché pensa che lei abbia raggirato sua madre. Tra i due scatta una sorta di odio/disprezzo a prima vista, che però col tempo si trasforma in qualcosa di più intenso, a causa anche dell'attrazione che provano l'uno per l'altra. Romanzo narrato tramite i punti di vista dei due protagonisti.

Dieses Buch hat alle, was ein leichtes Buch für den Urlaub braucht: eine interessante Handlung, witzige Dialoge, Situationskomik, sympathische Hauptpersonen, Nebenrollen mit Schurken besetzt und ein süßer Hund.Der Plot ist nichts Neues, aber nett erzählt. Vicky führt selbst ein kleines erfolgreiches Geschäft und knickt vor dem mächtigen CEO und düpierten Erben nicht ein.Die Geschichte und ihre Romanze entwickeln sich langsam, und auch das Happy End kommt nicht so problemlos wie in anderen Büchern.
