So compact but holds plenty - even fits on handlebars
I discovered how useful this compact little belt pouch could be at a music fest this past week. Unobtrusive and easy to enter the venue with no bag check needed but then when I started collecting items like a canned beverage, a tshirt, purchased and free promotional souvenirs, etc. it was so convenient to just pop open the pouch to hold all of it so I could be hands-free. The thin but sturdy waxed canvas, rectangular bottom, leather-trimmed opening (where I think the cloth would get the most wear and tear during use), very sturdy snaps and leather pieces, with the leather double-riveted to the canvas really make this a great find and I am truly glad to have it.Recently I bought a different brand at a higher price point to compare but this one is considerable smaller and lighter - perfect to wear daily just in case you need to hold something on your belt while you are out and about walking, biking, etc. in town or on the trail.Wow! It even fits on my bicycle’s handlebars - so very convenient for sure - I just bought an additional one!

Irksome Title for Decent Product
I am not entirely sure why there is a need to indicate this is for “men” as anyone who is interested in foraging would find this tool useful. It is well constructed and holds a decent amount of foraged items. It is a bit hard to get it all folded back up and the snap firmly closed, so pay attention when you first “unroll” the canvas bag portion so that you can fold it back the same way to ensure the leather case will fit and can be snapped closed around your folded bag. I think it is a helpful item to have at the ready on hikes or park walks just in case you find something interesting/curious or if you want to pick up trash along your path.I almost didn’t buy this due to the title and assumptions about who might use what tools. This product would be great for a kid who is learning outdoor skills as well (sex/gender notwithstanding). If cleaned after use and maintained, this item is well built and durable enough to be used until said child is old and grey. Re-wax the canvas as needed and use a bit of leather conditioner and this could be a once in a lifetime purchase.

Well Made for Price
I ordered one for $22.90. After Timothy answered my question about where it is made, I ordered, as the price had dropped about $6. He was correct about there being nothing saying where it was made, or any brand name. After I got mine, the price dropped to $19.49, so I highly recommend getting it at that price!! (after writing the review, I picked up the zip lock bag it came in, and found a sticker on it - Made in China. Not too surprising)It is a little narrower than the Hide&Drink, but has a flat bottom (H&D doesn't), so the total volume is not going to be significantly different. The leather is a little thinner than the H&D. For those who want a drain hole, I would install a grommet in the bottom. H&D has no drain either. Maximum belt width is 1 ¾"; 2" for H&D. This one has a leather edge around the opening, and a leather tab with a snap to keep the opening from spreading open too far. H&D has a drawstring around the opening. I like them both, but the price difference would make me go with GearEDC, if I were to buy another.

Nice pouch.
Nice pouch. It functions as intended. Only two short fall's, the lack of a grommet hole for drainage and the lack of a draw string. That said, I understand the latter. The pouch has a leather lining that runs across the rim of the pouch. The materials are solid. Light smell that went away after a few days. Good product, would be a 5 out of 5 if a drainage hole were added. If you like the vintage look, you'll be happy with this one.

Durable enough for Alaska
Have worn this belt satchel nearly every day for three months in Denali Alaska. It has shown no abnormal signs of wear, and the riveted belt loop is as tight as it was day one. I love it, have purchased a second as a gift to another amateur forager.Excitedly I share that it has collected yarrow, clover, dandelion, lungwort, fireweed, spruce tip, birch buds and leaves, labrador tea, blueberries, and chaga mushroom.Full send and recommend.

Nice
I bought this for my rock and arrowhead searching. Roomy. Snaps pop if too heavy. Not meant for too much weight. Not a problem because it is listed as a mushroom gathering bag. Just got to be more mindful as to how much I put in it. 😂

Great little bag!
Bag is as described though slightly smaller than I expected. Is able to carry a water bottle or two if they are smaller with ease. I've been using it as an impromptu foraging or merchandise bag if at a festival and have also used it for horse treats. it works really well for Renaissance festival costumes and when rolled up and snapped takes up very little space. I'm able to open and close it with one hand.
