I almost didn’t buy this because of the rating and review but very happy I did. This is a simple wire object holder - not meant to be flashily, it falls into the background so your object is the focal point. If you’re looking for something that would hold a relic in the MET this is your item. It’s it a little pricy, sure - but object holders that are this simple usually are.

Very small base that will not be stable for anything not centered vertically or too heavy. I would guess 3lbs or less would be okay. I returned mine as it was useless for my item. It was a nice and simple design which I hoping to use but not able to.

You might as well take a wooden coaster in a coat hanger and make one yourself. These are the cheapest piece of crap I've ever seen. Museum grade? You gotta be kidding. I wouldn't buy from this company their pictures are deceiving. This wouldn't hold up a marshmallow. Don't buy it buyer beware caveat emptor. Why is there a five star rating when there's a no no star rating. I only gave it one star because I couldn't throw that star away. Have I made my point. $32 including tax with about 15 cents

Bought this as an after thought for a friend’s retirement gift. Worked perfectly. The four arms were easily bent and placed to secure the item. It met my needs and will buy again if a similar need arises.

If your object is heavy, forget about itVery simple and lightweight

Very interesting idea. Easy enough to bend to shape, but I wouldn't try rebending it over and over. Heavy enough to hold up a bowie if you don't rock the shelf too much.

So shortly after my mom passed my stepdad and I visited a forge and were able to make matching knives. I have wanted a way to show it off better, and this is the thing I needed.This is very similar to the kind of stands you see at a museum that hold and elevate an artifact. It’s a base with thin metal rod coming up vertically. Off of the rod are a two pairs of thinner wire. You wrap these around your artifact to hold it in place and then put it on display.With a little futzing, I could make those wire arms into a cradle to hold about any smaller object from a fossil, to a mineral sample, to a knife, to wallet. Just takes figuring out how you want the item to sit.I like how this looks. I have a handful of items I inherited from my granddad’s experience flying over the Himalayas in WWII that I think I need some more of these to properly show off.

One of the wires broke as soon as I tried to use it. Complete garbage.
