Okay we had a bit of a laugh but for my six year old, it was not funny that there were no friggin dinosaurs in the egg!! One star because I had to deal with tears tears tears for a while!!!

I ordered two of these for my sons. One had 13 dinos like the box said and one had zero dinos. I have a very sad little boy who spent all the time digging through the dirt and finding nothing. I would not recommend buying this since you might be very disappointed!

Very disappointed In this item. My son is obsessed with dinosaurs and spent over 30 minutes digging into this egg for the little dinosaurs only to find out there wasn’t a single dinosaur in this egg when it was supposed to have 13. Definitely do not recommend and will not buy another product.

After tirelessly digging and scraping, my daughter and I found zero dinosaurs! Not sure if we received a defect, but we expected up to 12 of them based on the pictures and to my daughters disappointment, we were just left with a mess everywhere and a big mound of stupid clay. Only thing we found not clay, was some little rock like pieces but if that was supposed to be parts of a dinosaur it is nothing like the advertisement of glow in the dark colored figures. Returning this mound of dirt back!

Warning this is extremely messy! I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s for ages 3-5. Unless your little one is insanely strong & can crush things like no ones business.We soaked these for the recommended time, then proceeded to show my 4 & 5 year old how to chisel.They break things all the time so I figured this would be a piece of cake. Nope it’s a bit harder than I would’ve guessed. Just be prepared to get involved with the cracking of this egg. Possibly doubling the soaking time might help.This is definitely a fun outside activity. My kids aren’t big into getting messy but they were excited to find the Dinos.Was egg shaped dirt & like 11 small dinosaurs worth the money? My answer is “meh” probably not but it was a good experience.So 5 stars for the good time we had with our children. I do however think this should be about half the price so I give it 3 star for value. As for age appropriate I docked 1 star because it seems a little too hard for small children.I don’t regret getting this so it’s good purchase in my book. Would I do it again probably not. It’s fun if the kids are interested. If you’re looking for something fun & messy for outdoor play I would recommend checking out this item more. To me it’s about the activity not necessarily the toys in the egg.
