These colors are strong and brilliant. Very creamy and little activation required. Absolutely gorgeous and for the price fantastic. Would highly recommend, very impressed. Excellent quality, I have many brands and these rate among the high end watercolors! Wow!

I have tried tubes and pan. I have chosen 4 star either great reviews over the last 5 years. I also do acrylic and some craft painting; bottles, jars, pinecones....so I am not a full time watercolorist. I do love love love watercolor though and I am out of state and decided to try and find a new brand of watercolors. This time I Google it and asked about the best brand of watercolors and there were some that I just skimmed by...I didn't want to break the bank either. I have several watercolors to work with but something always seemed to be missing. Do I ordered this set and of course when I got it. I had to sample it Boy, was I surprised. Even though the pans are small, the price was more than reasonable. The case it came in was a heavier plastic that was rather impressive It had some individual areas where you could do mixing along with a couple brushes and a small pad of wc paper. Now for the watercolor itself. The colors are intense! I could not believe how much had color that came out of my brush with just 1st using it. I thought to myself, "Now this is what watercolor is all about!!" You don't hBe to work to get bright intense colors..in fact you may have to work a little harder to soften the color to what you wanted to be. I love the fact that if I want a more intense color....I don't have to use up the pans of watercolor or even kind of settle for duller tones with other watercolors tunes included. I will be painting a lot more in watercolor again thanks to this set of of colors

I wanted/needed an affordable student/practice palette. The colors are bright, easy to mix, not chalky (save for white and “peach”), and layer very well. If you are getting into painting and/or not yet into mixing paint tubes to get this variety, this is it. The paper was better quality than I had on hand. I would love to purchase more of it since it has great weight and texture. The paint brushes were my favorites to use when starting out. I certainly use some colors/brushes more than others (and would sacrifice some colors for doubles of others). I REALLY liked that I could adjust the pans, move them around, and travel with specific paint groups/palettes as needed. I prefer porcelain to plastic for mixing but the removable tray and wells are good to have on hand if I can’t bring fragile items with me. Customer service was AMAZING after the purchase. Very responsive and helpful in getting access to the ebook. Would buy again, gift, or recommend to others interested in watercolors

I like the paint assortment that is given. I wished that the paints were laid out by shade, because most of the darker colors all look the same, and is hard to tell what color it is. I had to make myself a paint swatch to know what paint is in what pan. I like that the colors are vibrant and easily blends. The paint in the pan does crack after getting saturated with water. It comes with a pad of watercolor paper, which is thick and of good quality. It has 2 brushes as well, a thick one and a thin bristle one, they work well, holds a good amount of water in the belly of the brush, an the bristles are soft and pliable. I would buy it again .

Everything about this set shows that a lot of thought and care went into its creation. It’s beautiful, it solidly made, the quality of the case is amazing compared yo others, the paper is a cold press 300 which you don’t usually see. The paint quality is smooth, creamy, blends well and dries with very little change to the color so strong pigment. And it’s affordable! Definitely recommend this set.

I tried a different brand of watercolor paint and was disappointed with how it didn't blend. I got these to see if it was me or the paint. It must've been the paint because THIS brand of watercolor paint goes on smooth, has bright, vivid color, and blends very well. So I'm going to be using this paint for the foreseeable future. Especially since the price makes it a good deal! The "free watercolor course" was a bummer, though. I never made it to whatever this supposed course might be. They make you jump through a hundred hoops to get to it, and since I can look up what I might need to know in other ways, I just gave up on that, but I won't take any stars away because my review is for the paint, not the extras. Though the included paper is very nice. I do wish they sold that separately so I could get some more.

Just received this from Amazon a couple hours ago and I can already tell it's well worth the price. I've had a bit of time to play around with the colors and it's truly a professional grade set of water colors. I must have missed this part prior to ordering but it comes with a pad of quite good quality of water color paper. Nice and thick, well milled paper. That was a nice surprise. Also the two brushes are surprisingly well made too. All in all - as much as I order from Amazon, I reserve my A++ score for only the best products I order - and this definitely gets the A++ from me!

I have gotten great use out of this pallet. The colors are vibrant and have held up well for me. I did invest in more brushes because I needed some more sizes to work with but overall this has been a great starter set for me. The case is pretty sturdy, easy to mix in, and clean up. I went through all of the paper quickly but glad it was included so I could get started practicing right away. Included are two images that I created from tutorials in a book I also purchased on Amazon called "Watercolor In Nature" by Rosalie Haizlett. Highly recommend this book for it's beautiful images and insightful information.

I purchased this palette of watercolour paints with fairly low expectations. It has become one of my favourite sets. It is my go-to set of paints. The colours are vivid, the paint does what I want it to do, it has beautiful blooms and has wonderful coverage. I recommend this product. The price is fabulous and I get lots of comments in my watercolour class about the colours and quality of the pigment. My only complaint is I can't buy single replacement pans.

This is beautifully packaged and lovely to use.
