These are great. The best part was they just work. I plugged one in near my TV and plugged the other with the receiver and cable box in another room. Went back to the TV and was able to immediately control all the devices. It was so easy and they have so many flexible ways to mount. It's also configurable if you have multiple rooms looking to control similar devices, in my case multiple zones.

BlastIR Wireless Pro works extremely well. Response time is fantastic and it was a breeze to setup in my media cabinet. Manual is very helpful but anyone needing an IR repeater in the first place is probably savvy enough to install these with almost no help, they are dead simple. This kit also includes everything you need, I really don't think Sewell does enough justice to their product on this page. It includes: 2 x USB power cables with 3.5mm (to unit) to USB (to power source), fairly long but of course, USB can be easily extended if you need. They also include two USB wall-chargers to power the devices. I love that these are separate and not attached to the cables. I have USB ports on my power strip, so I didn't need to use the chargers and fill up more outlets. The kit also includes an extension for the receiver (blue) so you could hide the receiver if the small (and non-intrusive, dim greenish-coloured) light on the receiver bothers you. You could also potentially pass the extender through small holes, around corners, or maybe through walls so you can control devices through even the most challenging of setups. There is also a long, dual-headed extender for the emitter. The cable comes with the heads together and you can peel them apart for only as much cable mess as you need. Allows for more control over more devices, but of course brings more wires to the mix. Then there are the adhesives. Reusable or permanent 3M adhesives for the units. There are two magnetic feet with a strong magnet if you need to stick to metal surfaces. The included extender cables also have adhesives on all the heads. Sewell really did include it all and I was happy I didn't have to think about how I was going to stick bits to things. An excellent product and a premium package. Sewell definitely gained a fan.

I used to have an IR blaster kit. Worked pretty well, but didn't look integrated into the room. (Little black box eyeball thing you had to install somewhere) Where as these look seamless with the rest of the switches on the room. Here are the features I loved. 1: It has a little blue led that flashes when it sees a signal from your remote. you don't have to guess if it is working. 2: the panel in the room you send the signal to has a little power adapter that you can plug into a receiver or other unit that has a 110 volt plug thing on the back of the stereo equipment. So when you turn on the stereo, it powers the little dc power supply. If you do that, a little red light comes on in the room with the infra red receiver letting you know the stereo or other device actually turned on and is powered. We used to wonder if the signal actually made it to the device because you can't see it in the other room and you won't be wondering if you left the stereo on all night. You can just use an easy to find network cable for the wire you run from one unit to the other. Just twist the oranges, greens, blues, etc. together as pairs and stick the pairs into the board on the back. No soldering needed, just little screw terminals. and no 110 volt ac wires to run. Just poke a hole in the wall for one of these... Arlington LV1-1 (low voltage gang box adapter) you just screw the tabs in place and since it is low voltage you don't need any complicated in-wall gang box. (one note.. after using those for years, I noticed there are little holes in the gang box plates. You poke a pencil though the holes to mark the perfect size hole to cut in the wall. I used to measure them all with a tape measure). Great time saver. You will not regret buying these. Thank you for your time.

This may sound like a paid endorsement, but I promise you it isn't. I am just a schmuck who enjoys being a home improvement weekend warrior. But with so many mediocre companies out there who do as little as possible, I feel it is important to commend the companies who go above and beyond. For the people who wonder about the shipping elements, I opted for the quick delivery (due to poor planning and languishing over the decision). Order arrive next day, mid day (faster than expected). And the price was reasonable. Everything was well packaged and secure. The product was extremely easy to install and works exceptionally well. As many of us do, I wanted to set up my TV on the wall but didn't want all of my components in the main viewing area. So I set up a media area in a closet to keep the components out of sight. Wiring was easy using Cat5 cable, and two simple connections was all it took to get things together. In my main room, the unit relays the signal from my remotes back to my media closet and provides a feedback light to let you know that the signal was received and transmitted. In the closet, the control block is small and discrete yet also gives you everything you need to get it working. 4 plugs for dual emitters will let you control up to 8 devices. To be honest, I did have one small problem during the installation. One of the units that I needed to control (from a prominent Satellite provider) was extremely sensitive about how it receives its signal. I did connect with Sewell support to ensure that I had installed correctly. They were EXTREMELY awesome in helping me troubleshoot the problem. Fairly quickly, we both decided that their product was working correctly, but they stayed on the line with me while we came up with more creative solutions. In the end, we determined that the Satellite component was being overwhelmed with the signal from the repeater. By placing a piece of blue painter's tape between the component and the emitter, we were able to resolve the problem. I understand that there may be other products on the market (from other companies) that provide the ability to decrease signal intensity through the use of a switch or dial. The units that provided that capability were significantly more expensive (>$200), and in researching my specific problem, we found that owners of the more expensive units were still having the same problem, even after adjusting the signal intensity. I had put off the decision to install a repeater for quite a while so that I could do my research and find the right product. I looked at many other products that were much more expensive, and I can't imagine that they would be any better than this unit. And I am certain that the other companies would NOT do a better job at taking the time to work with me than Sewell. I have now put them on my short list of places that I go for my electronic needs. If you are considering a setup that requires a repeater to relay your IR signals, then this is a GREAT product, at a GREAT price, and has PHENOMENAL resources to ensure you are HAPPY (not just satisfied) with your purchase.
