Excellent testimonies of miraculous healings in modern times with sources and documentations cited in the "Notes" section. Keener provides a balanced look at the issue of the miraculous which should encourage believers to God's tangible revelation of Himself in Christ in the world today and challenge the atheist's worldview on the basis of science, as this book provides evidence of the behavior of the physical and natural world through observation, experimentation, and testing as being affected by the reality of God.What is no less important is that Keener provides and appendix discussing (A) Did Prayer Make things Worse?, (B) Some of Hume's Arguments (Hume denies the miraculous), and (C) False Signs.Also, Kenner cites where sources and documentations may be obtained (if available) in the "Notes" section at end.This book is a companion for the layman to his two-volume scholarly work, "Miracles: The Credibility of the New Testament Accounts," from which Keener takes some of the accounts from. However, most of the material is new and not included in the two-volume work.

Craig Keener includes many accounts of divine healing in this book, with attestations from eye-witnesses of these healings and other supernatural miracles. These are very significant documented accounts, confirming that God does indeed still intervene supernaturally today.

This book is amazing. It for sure will open up the eyes of any believer. All too often we in the west get busy and don't notice what is going on in the world around us. Miracles must be something that occurred long ago but not now, Wrong! Believers serve a real God in our world today. This book proves that. There is so much in this book I am not sure where to start. The book chronicles the occurrence of all kinds of miracles all over the world, big or small. The author Craig S. Keener also does keep a scientific approach to all of this too. As he said this book would appeal to all kinds of denominations too. The downside is the book reads like a textbook. One incredible story after another tends to lose the zing factor. Please don't let that stop you from this book. I loved his ending. At the end of the book, he put down a great explanation which few other books even try to do. His chapter on revival should be a book by itself. Good book for all!!

Well written with great research and documented stories.

Craig Keener has done us a big favor! After reading this book I look at sick people with a different eye. I am not as hesitant to pray with the sick. Reading about what God is still doing makes me want to be a part of it. This is a book of documented miracles organized by types of miracles. It is a great resource for pastor or lay person alike. I am currently using it in conjunction with an apologetics course that I am teaching. I will read an excerpt at the end of a lesson and it is like icing on the cake!

This is a great book full of miracle accounts that are verified by doctors. As it is as a book the binding let kinda loose and I had some pages want to fall out lol

Wonderfully written book on a subject most of us find ourselves interested in at some point in life. Highly recommend.

This book has a lot of testimonies, dr craig keener is a serious scholar, and has documented a lot of miracles here and has a bigger version, this grows your faith, i also have the Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible dr. Keener which is a great resource i highly recommend it too

Well written but of course Keener’s always at his best. Wonderful accounts of divine healing and interesting reasonings around the most often asked questions. Encouraging book for all to read.

Lots and lots of in depth miracle account examples. Careful categorisation. Takes time to engage with criticism.Lots of footnotes available for readers to follow up.Recommended!

This is such an encouraging read that really makes one know that God is interested in His creation. Some of the miracles made me cry! Some had me shouting “hallelujah”💥🎉❤️‍🔥My main takeaways:* Ask and keep on asking.* You can’t over ask.* Never give up.* God is not a microwave or fire engine - He works at His own pace & in His own way but, He does listen to us and answers us❤️‍🔥😙
