I'll admit I was skeptical. My ear piercings had grown up a year or so ago, so I was willing to take a chance. After all, compared to what commercial piercings cost, this was a bargain. It was so simple. I did it myself, and the hardest part for me was being able to see well enough in my mirror to get them where I wanted them. They turned out great. They are painless depending on where you are piercing. I didn't even feel it in my ear lobes. I did second piercings in each ear a little higher than the firsts. The second piercings had a little pinch but no real pain. Like someone else said in a review, whatever you do, don't hesitate. Think of it as a stapler and do a good follow through. If you hesitate, the back can stick. It happened to me once, but I quickly realized that if I just turned the front of the earring, the back came unstuck. I am so glad I found these. These saved me up to $150, and I didn't have to leave the house. You won't be disappointed.

I had to re-pierce a piercing that recently closed. Easy to use and it was not painful to do so: .

I purchased this item to re-pierce my one earlobe which closed after more than 30 years. The box has sealed 4 guns, each with an earring already loaded and encased in something like silicon, and alcohol prep pads. I don’t know how it’d work for an un-pierced earlobe, but it was very easy for me, as all I had to do was align the earring with the old piercing. I did a test first by piercing a piece of cork, just to know what to expect, and it worked perfectly. However, when it came to my own earlobe, I did hesitate too much and pressed the trigger very slowly, which caused it to get stuck. Luckily, my husband was home and all he had to do was to pry the earring out of the gun, which was effortless. My suggestion is to press the trigger confidently and swiftly. The earrings are cute and the back is rounded, which is great for me since I’m a side sleeper. I’ve showered with them and so far I see no changes in the material. I would recommend!

For me this was super cool and easy! I put numbing cream on for an hour before I used it.A couple of piercers reached out to me though, and said I shouldnt have used this—that I should have gone to a professional piercing place. Something about their needles are hollow and actually pierce, causing less pain where this just punches a hole through the earlobe. Now I know

I am surprised how easily I pieced my own ears. I was impressed at the level of safety they managed to put into this product. I cleaned my ears, placed the earring and squeezed. The earring was in with the back already fixed in place in about 2 seconds. Level of pain was nominal.

So easy to use and the studs are very pretty!
