A short and to the point review... EXTREMELY DURABLE!
Hey Now! I bought a pair of these 2 & 1/2 years ago. I wrap these things in a thin T-shirt and sling them around my neck or tie them to my elbow as well as my knee. In fact the T-shirt method works quite well for anyone new to using ice packs. The cover that comes with it is quite decent but not as versatile as I’d like. Anyway to the point. These things are so durable. I rotate them often, sometimes throughout an entire day. They freeze fast. They’re ready for use after a half hour but an hours better. If you’re in a hurry though it’s nice to know that they will freeze that quickly. The main reason I love these puppies is that it took over two years for a tiny hole to finally appear. I fall asleep with these things and find them squished up underneath of me yet they still don’t leak. They’ll be folded over and matted to the couch and I just unfold it and throw it back in the freezer so they’re ready to go for next time. I use these things almost every day. I’ve tried target, drug stores and grocery stores and can’t seem to find them anywhere except on Amazon or online. People don’t know what they’re missing. Anyway, if you’re looking for some ice packs look no further. I never review shit but I just had to say something about these packs! You will not regret it. And no I don’t have stock in the company that produces these. I just love a good deal and quality products. Steve 😎PS. If a hole shows up in one I put mine in a heavy duty freezer bag and still continue to use them. I’ll keep them in rotation even with the new pair I’m about to purchase. If you do have a leak avoid getting that blue crap in your eyes. It happened to me with another type and it burned me a little bit. FYI

Great ice pack - but the new version has a pretty annoying flaw
I have had these for a few years now and they are great for icing your knee or elbow because the Velcro strap holds the ice pack in place. The ice packs are reusable and well made. The kit comes with an additional strap extension so if you need to ice your shoulder or back it will fit.The first one I bought a few years ago was great. I ordered a second set because I have a knee injury and a foot issue that both require icing and I just noticed that the new one has the Velcro closure on the wrong side. So now I have to twist the strap to secure the ice pack around my knee. Even with the extension the Velcro that is supposed to attach to the blue cloth icepack holder is in the wrong direction. Maybe it was just a sewing error ?? but I am sure it will wear out the strap faster than my old one because I have to twist the strap to get it to secure to the velcro.I do think it's a great product, but it's kind of a serious design flaw that they attached the Velcro strap in the wrong direction on the new one.If the product manufacturer (Koo Cares) sees this review , I wonder if you could send me a new holder with the Velcro oriented in the correct direction?Again, overall an excellent product.I highly recommend having a set of these Incase of injuries.Note: the pics above show the old one with the Velcro strap attached in the correct direction, and the new one with the flaw.Good product, just needs better quality control.

Stays soft when frozen and wrap very helpful
This is my second set of these. My first set is still going strong after many years of very frequent use. So I know it is a quality product. These are the perfect size (11x6”) for strapping around neck/ shoulder/ back/ arm/ leg. And best of all they remain very flexible. The strap and holder are great for being able to attach it and keep it in place while you go about doing anything else.Pouch and attached strap gives you 25” length pre-stretch of elastic; the additional strap adds another 21” pre-stretch. Elastic and velcro are strong; width is 2.25” and heavy duty. Pouch is thick felt material on one side and fine weave mesh on the other side.Holds heat and cold really well; just follow the instructions when heating to avoid damaging the bag. Instructions are printed on the bags so they are always available to reference. The pouch gives nice protection to skin so you don’t have to wrap it in a cloth. They also have a nice weight to them, so I love placing them on my forehead when I have a headache as that slight pressure helps relax the tension. And I have used them in lunch boxes where they keep things cold most of the day.Customer support info included.

This meets my needs and helps me fall asleep
I'm using this to cool my head and/or neck at night when I go to bed because I've been experiencing hot sensations over much of my body for months. Laying one of these on my pillow and my head or neck on top of that (the hotness isn't always in the same place) helps a lot, to fall asleep. Therefore I can't rate it yet for pain relief, but I can't imagine it not helping! Probably my only wish is that it were a bit softer or more pliable, but it's not BAD, even as a pillow-topper, and I can't fault the product, really, since I'm probably using it in an uncommon way. I also don't even notice the pack after several minutes. Note: I haven't been putting it in the freezer, just the refrigerator. I usually fall asleep long before it loses its cool. The box showed an expiration date that was a mere 90 days away, but when I asked about that I got a quick reply saying (as I recall) that can be ignored because they had an overstock of boxes with the pre-printed date, and just kept using them so as not to waste the money they spent on them. I was satisfied with that explanation. They also pointed out that the effectiveness may decline over time but nothing will ever really expire. (So now I'm suddenly trying to recall why ANY expiration date had to be printed.) Anyway, I like these packs and would buy them again. The included pouch was more necessary than I imagined because that pack really got cold! The straps should also prove useful at some point, and the short one that's a part of the pack is easily tucked underneath and out of the way for my use. That was one of the main reasons I selected this item, because the packs I'd previously been using have two long, annoying straps that can't be removed.Oh, and I find one of these to be a good size to slip between my head and the pillow - neither too big nor small, and a reasonable thickness.

Well-designed and useful for knee and other joint pains
This is a well-designed product. A bit flexible even when frozen and can be used for hot/cold therapy. Easy to use with the sleeve.Only wish it came with two sleeves -- since there are two gel pads.
