It will Rheem your pocketbook
It's a shame that what used to be a good brand has farmed out the parts to overseas junk manufacturing. At least I hope that is the excuse, had to replace the pilot light, 3 weeks after installation and now 2 years later - guess what. Get to do it again, without the warranty covering labor. Thanks for a piece of trash that replaced a water heater that had been going for 20 years without a problem. Every plumber in my town has dumped carrying Rheem, due to the headaches of brand new units. Do yourself a favor and buy a different brand. I wish I could give it negative stars - if they messed up such a basic well-tested part as a pilot light what will happen 5, 9, and 10 years down the road. I considering tearing it out and replacing now. JUNK JUNK JUNK.
